  1. Belly button height table with decks on it works for me.
  2. Me first gig I ripped the knob off one of the channel faders I've done a gig where the mixer didn't have any knobs from channel faders just the little bits of metal sticking out. Didn't make much of a difference but was still hilarious haha. The worst thing was it was my first transition. I had mixed feelings; I didn't know whether to Jesus pose and feel like a mad WHALE, or hide in the corner with part of their mixer in my hands haha.

  4. Interesting. Might try this and see what happens.
  5. Thanks mate. Shoot me through some info about what you play, where you've played, etc.
  6. Link me to your stuff man. Also Gandy, replied to PM.
  7. Shut the fuck up Djaz.
  8. Looking at running a party in the city in late July, but to keep things fresh, we want one of the rooms solely dedicated to DJ's from regional areas. By doing this, it should give somewhat of a fresh perspective, and get alot of new faces through the doors. If you're up for it, PM me with a link to your Soundcloud, or demo mix. House & Tech preferred.
  9. I think that's more than fair. The ragingness is redlining in this track.
  10. Laurent Garnier - The Man With The Red Face Cirez D - On Off
  11. mate, I regularly play 5 to 7 hours non stop. we have a smoking ban in this country so I need regular piss, bar visit and fag breaks.... how about we start a thread called: "songs long enough to fit a piss break in"? i'll begin with the old skool ones: rappers delight: the sugarhill gang the rapture: Blondie (original full length mix) Give it up or turn it loose: James Brown Got to give it up: marvin gaye if theres a queue at the bog you're fooked anyway tho! A few good ones I like to play when I need a ciggie are: Radioslave - Grindhouse (Dubfire Terror Planet Remix) Deep Dish - Say Hello 16 Bit Lolitas - Murder Weapon
  12. I use a Dell laptop and have never had a problem.
  13. http://thesearchison.com.au/the-competition/enter/ Pretty serious prizes! I recommend some of you jump on board!
  14. The Jersey yeah, the hat is from a vintage eBay seller.
  15. Should not have spent so much cash tonight. Purchases are cool though, can't wait for them to arrive! Denver Nuggets Hardwood Classics Jersey Golden State Warriors Mitchell & Ness Snapback
  16. doing that kind of stuff on the fly isn't producing, it's mashups and bootlegs on the fly. Also most of the time effects and crappy tricks ruin the tracks unless you are pro. like everyone else said here all you need is the cdj's and mixer. Maybe a DVS if you want to use a pc to find your tracks easily. I think we're on the same page here haha.
  17. This. If you can actually mix properly (without the fucking sync button), you should be able to spin fine on CDJ's. And if you're going to use the argument about loops, cue points and all that jazz; you can still do that on a standard CDJ. Also remember, 9/10 venues just want to hear the latest tracks off of a Ministry of Sound compilation, there's no need to go all Hawtin on their ass and melt faces off with intricate effects, loops & technose.
  18. Producer* I think if you're just starting out, it would be ideal to just play CD's whilst building a name for yourself. . cd'dj!Sol, we spoke about this yesterday, it's CDJ. But yeah, good luck with it all. I particularly like that my "Tupperware" quote has hung around
  19. Producer* I think if you're just starting out, it would be ideal to just play CD's whilst building a name for yourself. Once established, I think then you'd have more flexibility with all of your bits and pieces. I know if I was running a night, and "the new guy" walked in with a MIDI controller and a MacBook I'd be sceptical. People don't like change, so sometimes it's best to just stick with what they know. I party in Melbourne frequently, and very rarely do I see someone playing out with somethings other than CDJ's or turnies. My two cents anyway.
  20. Can I ask why you need 4 decks?
  21. I dont know what that is but its pretty
