I'm just worried that the ex-hire has been thrashed mostly and will blow on me a few months down the track.

Just looking for some advice on speaker purchasing. Basically I've decided more against getting a replacement 15's as I want to keep it reliable, and considering I barely worked them there's no way it should have broke that coil. I've got an offer from a friend who works for Osmond Electronics who are selling off some ex-hire stuff, although the units look great and there running celestian drivers and such im worried about the whole "Ex-Hire" thing. Budget is around 700-1000 but am wanting to "preferably" keep it cheap, just really looking for some staples so I at least have the ability to do house parties. The speakers would be used with a 18" 1000w RMS sub. I've been having a close look at these mostly: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-Mackie-T ... 25a&_uhb=1 Any suggestions?

So one of the promoters/club owners that I've been playing for has pretty much said that I can come in anytime during the day to practice. Rocked up today to do some and they also have 1200's hooked up. I already have an audio 6 and control vinyl, is it worth me learning to go back to the roots and mix vinyl? I'm thinking for it as the skills will help me with my regular mixing too. Opinions?

Not sure if I've posted this yet, but best combination of rap and dubstep I've heard.

that would mean the 3d came right after the arcade but the pro came first.

The midi fighter one is wrong, it was redesigned with 2 knobs and faders into the midi fighter pro.

I stand by my statement, a scam is a scam.

There not a government agency they can't enforce shit. All those licences are just well marketed scams IMO

The alternate method is to right click on your wifi icon and go network settings, then click view existing networks. Next right click on your home wifi network and go to options, one one of the top tabs it should show the pasword in *****'s Click show password.

Connect to it via ethernet, next open command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" This should give you a long list of stuff, scroll up and find "Ethernet adapter" then look for a name with DHCP on the end, should have a set of numbers at the end like: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 etc. Next type that set of digits into Internet explorer or firefox. A prompt should come up asking for a username or password. Try: User: Admin Pass: Admin Or User: Admin Password: Password Next you should be in the router config page, navigate to the wireless section and there should be a field to put in a new password. Chuck that in and apply it, the router may need to restart. You will now need to re-put the password into all devices it was previously hooked up to as well.

mmm yes, the fact that they have the full color screen now is amazing, I just wish it was tilted like the 2000's

CDJ's + Mixer or Producing equipment
SolDios replied to Rivaldo's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
You don't need 200s and a 900 mixer. Personally I'd be in favor of starting as a DJ and going into production later as it will help you to understand how tracks are set out better. You don't need to produce to get into clubs. Intact, if you just DJ and get into production later you will have alot more people checking out your tracks from your previous presence in scene Controllers are the best way to do it these days. Just stay away from the sync button and you will be able to play on pretty much anything fine. A mixtrack pro 1 is one of the cheapest ways to get into the scene at $100 second hand. This is my mobile setup these days

I love how drag and drop the rest of osx is but not imovie

1000 mk3's are abit outdated, id deffs recommend the 350's setup more purely for the rekordbox usb support. CDJ's are great, and that price is wicked. Controllers like the mixtrack pro 1 are a great cheap way to get started though.

Great night, really interesting playing vs's with someone I have never met before. His hard dance was alot more mellow than mine. Crowd loved us though, the promoter/organiser/manage wants to get me back so I guess it was a success. On a side note, the 2000 nexus have way fucking too much visual assistance.

I'm on my way!

For pc accessory's I really don't go anything BUT logitech, there products are great and there warranty is the best I've seen. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?mai ... s_id=25305

Here we go tek syndicate made a video on it. If you don't need the apple os this is a better choice.

I just realised that's 3k american, so it's gona be elevated by the dollar then elevated again by apples aus fee. Could be closer to 4k? Not sure. I get what you guys are saying though, I just am not at all a fan of some of there decisions to do with both this and there other products. I still love the 13' macbooks though, you can't buy a better 13" laptop.
-
It is a beast but it's still not worth 3k by far.
-
For 3k you sure aren't getting much bang for your buck.... For something thats apparently a workstation I would have hoped to get abit more. Also apparently the graphics cards aren't upgradable. The storage is if you can actually find a ssd with the special apple connecters.
