Hey, a school near me recently had there dj move to another state, so Im going to try and grab the gig. Any tips? Also, how would I get gigs at other schools? I don't want to undercut anyone else either if they already have a dj :/

Hey guys, I had a gig recently, and I actually did some mixing that sounded quite good in my opinion. But my problem is, all they want to hear is cheese, no edits, remixes, just originals flicking from song to song. Is this normal for any other dj's in the mobile business?

Im voting for melb, mainly cause I can get $30 flights there.

keep an eye on gumtree, there was a pair of 200's and a mixer a few weeks back, but check multiple states because there more than likely to post it for extra.

has anyone noticed how many of these threads are popping up lately. also, with the pa speakers you where talking about, don't worry about getting 4 12", just get the pair of 15" and that will do you perfectly fine man. Or you could just hire speakers. edit: also, prehaps start with something simple and cheap, that way if you do it and turns out you don't like it, then you can just sell it off with not to much money lost.

I only use it for requests, so im not searching though my usb's, otherwise im independent from it.
