maybe this will help. its a .png of the Defkon graff. so now its real easy to change colour, re-size, change BG etc. its a little tacky around the edges but against a darker background its good. or you can clean it up.

i used Hue/Saturation. in Image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation i think off the top of my head. think i also used the 'curves' option to make it a little more darker.

i agree with the 'breathe' thing. but funny enough i quite like it. has an atmospheric feel to it. opposed to a punchy hard feel. guess its just what you want to make/hear.

if your not sure about red i can change it to any other colour. i just did red cause in my head.. defcon, code red, alarms n shit. detail wise - changed the background with the 'curves' option. make it darker. - used diff fonts than. - made a selection around the graff 'DEFKON' and made a new layer so it was easier to move around & change. - Add drop shadow option on ALL THINGS!

what about asking someone like DSK? i have a few of their basic VST's. good for free. they have in their services "Custom sound modules with your own samples (Soundfont format) or by request" dunno much about it so not sure if this is what your looking for.. http://www.dskmusic.com/Services/
