  9. so i was driving to work this morning, with my classics playlist on (classics being the old skool dance music i have collected over the years) and a set came on which made my hairs stand up... It was the set that made me want to be a DJ. I heard it for the first time when I was 10 years old the set was by DJ Alex K, i was in my brothers VN commodore and he was pumping the music as he drove me to school. my two favourite songs at the time where mashed together for 30 sec for the transition, put your hands up in the air was sampled over the top of that Schumacher formula 1 song, i had never heard anything like it and i got really curious on how he did it. my brother said well he has 2 cd players going at once and he presses play one and the right time to make the songs mix together... obviously he couldn't give me the detailed explanation because (a) he didnt know and ( i wouldn't understand even if he did know... But all i knew is after that i wanted to be able make someone have that same feeling i got so it got me wondering, what was that one point where you decided you wanted to either DJ or Produce

  19. Holy bill of rights, Batman! where did you get such a great deal?
  20. speak to the owner, and the guy who is leaving, these 2 people will be key in getting that spot, the guy who is leaving can recommend you for his spot and the owner will ultimately make the final decision, and like the other boys said, have a demo CD ready but most of all be ready at anytime to jump on the decks, also treat this like any other job interview, let him know you are interested in the club itself and one day want to resident THERE not anywhere else because you love the atmosphere of HIS club (in other words)
  21. i like the name is that going to be your DJ name?
  22. i noticed!!! hahaha but your remixes flow nicer, had a whole listen and i loved it
  23. Unless you're Timberland or something you dont make shit. Theres way more money in DJing, thats why so many people do it. The odds are stacked against you if you want to make money producing. Producers 4 lyf3! he said famous.... a famous producer would make money still famous producers make next to no money, they get it all from getting toured because of the production. you get a track signed, you will make maybe 10c a sale, and half the whales are gonna download illegally wow that sucks hey, there go my dreams of wanting to be a producer
  24. listening now, like the title lol
