  1. I felt the same way when I used to use a midi controller. What I would do when practicing was load my playlist up then turn the screen of my laptop off. So I was learning with my ears instead of eyes. But also just putting some material over top half of screen would do the job
  2. I had a big spiel typed up, but imadje beat me too it Couple of things i will add: For the producing side of things, tomy is probably one of the best people for advice on those questions on here However what you have made sounds more like a DJ mashup promo than a remix as such, which leads on to the copyright issues that were said in the post above this. -Yes, giving a mixtape is one way. Also meeting the manager and having a chat to him directly and let them know you are interested in playing there, maybe in combo with giving mixtape -If club doesn't let you sesh gear when they are closed for practice, maybe hire some gear or borrow some off somebody else for a weekend and sesh it too get yourself confident on the equip before trying to get a gig there (controller DJing does have a different feel to it compared to DJing with CDJs) -As mentioned above, depends on club if you can take your S4 in.
  3. traktors bpm counter does adjust according to the pitch sliders, i think its in serato that the BPM counter doesn't change when you move the pitch?
  4. whats a rep system?
  5. hakkuna mattata
  6. What hobberz said, check master tempo is OFF on the CDJs, and then enable keylock in traktor. Other than that, I don't take too much notice of BPM counters, that's what your ears are for
  7. heaps of people in brissy on here. I think fackked has played at the fox hotel before?
  8. ^Check their Facebook or something and it might say who they have playing
  9. welcome brother
  10. Not that I've heard. But I'd rather the peace of mind knowing that I can get mine fixed under warranty locally. ^Man has a point
  11. I think most houses just have 10amp unless you get 15amp points wired in specifically (such as what we have done in our shed) Dont quote me on that though
  12. As ANDITZ said, djm 700 has digital out and midi, and Is a quality mixer.
  13. thats around 200 delivered for them, i'm pretty sure they are the same place that capfive ordered them from when he bought his xd53's from the US. Whether its worth the wait is purely purely your opinion, are you patient enough to wait, and save the $$ ?
  14. RIP

  20. Thought i'd add this bit too
  21. beat me too it yes, it did just get somewhat better. Not sure if i'll be going though
  22. do you have a soundcloud link?
  23. ^yer I gathered that, i did this alot myself with dj tutorials when I was starting out. Your method is fine using the software, but for those on Mac, or who don't want an extra piece of software, the JavaScript bookmark code i posted earlier does the job nicely too
