both sound cards you mentioned are the same really, just one has more channels. buying from the US is fine, since they all are USB powered Think about waiting till the new version of traktor comes out and buy traktor scratch because they come with the new audio10 sound card. Only reason i mention this is because buying the sound card on its own and the full traktor package is/was about the same price.

i'm going base spec 13"... theres no software that I use that requires more grunt. I spose it comes down to what size screen you want?

i'd assume theres an australian distributer or something that would be able to help you, but otherwise, is there any reason you can't order it from the states? i did a calc on shipping and it worked out to be $55 on the website i posted above

you're forgetting that we live in australia. the DJM800 is old news, seriously consider the denon if you think you're going to be running traktor
