  1. this brought back some memories, nice one. but what cupe said, should be in the rap section
  2. yeah, just run deck A through channel 1 and deck B through channel 2 (or what ever/ etc ) FYI - the kontrol x1 comes with traktor LE
  3. +rep good link EDIT: LOL @ the hardcore sub genres
  4. that is a little bit difficult though without having preknowledge, best gained from reading. because if you hear a track doing a sound youve never heard, how will you know what genre it is? youll be left saying thats one of those womba womba wombas, thats a rappity-rap, thats a oh-ah etc. yeah, but what better way to learn what something sounds like than actually listening to it? further to the link i posted, also check out the classics of each genre.
  5. meh, fuck reading about it all that.... let your ears do the work https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/con ... e/overview
  6. it's like the sample decks on the kontrol s4 software, but it integrates ableton into the serato screen. check it youtube
  7. I have the 8" ones and they crank. I've used them for house parties as well, and even at half way (both on the mixer and the speaker) these things are plenty loud and still sound brilliant. The down side of these is that you need to turn these up to get the most out of them (they aren't to great at very low volume), and anyone with shit neighbors or allergies to loud music need not apply. For me, the next step up from these would be the 8" fostex monitors, however they aren't as easy on the wallet as the ESI's
  8. behinger speakers seem to be the only half decent stuff coming out of their factory. I've owned behringer stuff in the past, and while it never broke, you could tell the quality wasn't there.
  9. the buttons aren't the best on the DDM4000
  10. are the behringer ones any better than something like the jaycar or JB hifi ones?
  11. am I right in assuming the behringers are $549 each, and NOT the pair?
  12. Djs from mars & chew fu seem to be cranking out the bootlegs these days. Check em on YouTube and Fb
  13. LOL @ angrymau5
  14. my first question would be, do you use more than 2 deck when you're mixing? if not, the cheap option is an audio 2 and a kontrol X1 with traktor.
  15. good cheap setup there for someone looking to start mixing. good find! those stantons aren't bad either, i've used them briefly in the past
  16. so with traktor 2... it'll be available as a paid update for S4 users by the look of it
  17. i'll sell you my urei 1605.... it has 7 mic inputs.
  18. it will be a house party that could progress into the city later on... nothing exciting, but if i'm DJing i've gotta keep to the theme. has anyone mentioned "it's raining men" LOL
  19. done and done
  20. thanks rhetski, you're awesome.
  21. dj warehouse has said its available in may, and should be $2899 rrp which hopefully means much less, since the DJM800's rrp is $2499, and it's being sold for less than $2k
  22. lets see how long this lasts
  23. will be buying one, providing they aren't $3k
  24. check the OP
  25. HAHAHAHA gay bar
