  5. oh, I also forgot to mention that the akai APC controllers have gotten good reviews for use with ableton, and they aren't to expensive
  6. i would go the 4D given your circumstances.... built in sound card is a massive bonus, along with all the midi you can poke a stick at on top of that, there have been bargain sightings of 4D's lately on ebay. check here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Allen-Heath-XONE ... 2093wt_905
  7. i was going to mention converter cables and shit, but seriously... https://www.storedj.com.au/products/SMP-DIDOCK
  8. I still want to know how you'd use this in a club... they'd be too big right?
  9. link to buy/DL?
  10. I used to own one... they aren't the best
  11. I knew I forgot to mention something. Has there been a price indicator for the new software yet? I'd imagine it to be a similar price to previous versions. TP would be ~$300 and TSP would be $800-1K I would imagine thats only a guess, based on what the current version were worth on the NI website
  12. yeah, it looks really tough. those buttons and fader knobs on the numark ring alarm bells as well... seem a lot like the behringer bcd3000. cheap and nasty
  13. only a few hundred more... one DNMC6000 is cheaper than replacing the numark when it breaks
  14. get that new denon controller. Looks solid as fuck, which is what you want if you're doing the mobile thing
  15. the new traktor is out ina few days, hold out for that and see what it includes, then make a decision.
  16. damn they look good.
  17. ^ HA well played
  18. think of it as a deluxe netbook smaller and lighter, at the cost of horsepower. I kinda don't get the 13" air though
  19. really enjoyed this mix. two thumbs up!
  20. I tried to listen to a deadmau5 mix and also the recent SHM essential mix (of the year I think) and it told me I can't cause i'm not in the right zone I am currently listening to pete tong now... hmmmm I always assumed it was out of bounds.... you've made my day
  21. how do you stream BBC1 anyway? I always get a territory restiriction thing happening when I try to stream it
  22. are you WTFing at trentsteele?
  23. you can sort in itunes by BPM, you just need software to calculate the BPM and write it to the ID3 tag so itunes can read it... mixed in key does this perfectly for me
  24. they did, just prior to the release of the 900/2000s
