Yeah the Glasgow scene is pretty close knit. everyone knows everyone so that was no biggie. Ah yeah that's alright then, it's little things like booth monitors not plugged in and all sorts of shit that annoys you. Have had rooms shut down before we started playing which always sucks. With house parties now when people book me i just say i dont play any oldies and only a bit of rnb/pop. Always better than having to play gigs that are mixed or dont like your music.

PC is only usb 2.0 man, can get a 3.0 pci card but will still get bottlenecked by the mobo

I've found the sandisk sticks are pretty good. But all flash drives get slower over time. I think they are prob all pumped out from the same factory anyway. I just like the sandisk ones. Also transcend. They both do the job yeah 100% ram and most storage is all made by the same manufacturers. Still i think those more rubber rugged ones would have a longer lifespan.

that defeats the point in building a set over an hour or whatever.... well if you have used good progression the first one will be like chilled and the second mix will be harder/deeper. I agree unless its like commercial/electro its hard to do a good mix under an hour though. I find an hour too short to take listeners on a proper journey now.
