  1. something i'd just say is use something non conductive and isn't easily flammable as the reflective surface. but it it was me doing it'd yolo a bit rofl. using a reflective surface will increase the range of the light as for focusing it on an area, you'd probably need a reflective type cylinder around the front of the outside to make it more of a beam.
  2. short of burning down a place, nothing lol jk. as long as you take into consideration heat, power and safety.. should be fine. main concern would be finding a UV bulb that i'll fit and same wattage. using it for gigs?
  3. i'm solely a club DJ but i have done some gigs in the past at venues, but those have been at mates rates / i didn't know what to really charge haha. Welcome and i hope you enjoy
  4. First came the ads, now SoundCloud has a deal with a bonafide record deal with Warner Music Group. SoundCloud has made it official, with a real record company. It’s really growing up. Every time a track from a Warner artist is played on SoundCloud here on out, SoundCloud will pay Warner a little bit of money. SoundCloud is a great service, but nothing gold can stay that way, and we knew it would have to figure out a way to keep the lights on — aside from venture funding — at some point. The deal with Warner was contingent on another coming-of-age type development from SoundCloud: its impending launch of a premium service, which offers different paid tiers for different amounts of listening and uploading. The licensing agreement, of course, also applies to the premium plans. So, yes, it’s true. SoundCloud, as it exists in its current form, is changing. It still remains a place where you can discover great and weird underground artists. Let’s just hope that big kid business deals doesn’t mean SoundCloud gets too far afield from the SoundCloud we love. source - gizmodo

  16. Steve Aoki is the latest DJ-producer to take legal action against Wunderground, a music satire site, after the site put up a crowdfunding campaign that included a shirt that poked fun at Aoki as a DJ (above). Aoki’s legal team threatened to sue the site over the shirts by sending CEO of Wunderground Mikey Maguire a cease-and-desist letter, which demanded that Maguire stop all sales for the shirt in question, destroy the shirts and provide evidence of doing so, provide all sales data from the shirt sales, and “take any and all other necessary or appropriate steps to eliminate further violations” of Aoki’s rights. “We’ve done some articles on Steve in the past and he hasn’t responded too well to them… The last thing I expected was for him to give us this. I thought he would leave it alone, and not add fuel to the fire,” says Maguire in a quote to Billboard. Wunderground has seen legal threats from David Guetta and Calvin Harris in the past. This time, Maguire publicly posted a reply on Wunderground in true satirical fashion to address each demand of the cease-and-desist, stressing that Aoki and his legal team have no grounds in suing him over a t-shirt that never existed. The highly publicized “beef” between Wunderground and Aoki may only help bring more attention to the artist, as it coincides with his Neon Future album release and his feature on the latest Jimmy Kimmel Live segment. Personally.. i want that shirt
