close everything you can with FL, it dosent have the srongest CPU useage of the DAW's when i was using it (this is partly due to a shitty PC i was using) i couldnt have more then 4 version's of massive open or it would start glitching up. in logic and on my mac i can have 20+ with out it tripping. but yeah get in the habit of closing everything, cept maybe a internet browser for youtube vids, everything else will just be distraction

borgore support gig go to a mates before hand because borgore laid down some strict intruction's 'no bangers before his set' so i track down enough chilled dub to last me 2 hours (well 1 hour cause im doing a verse set). get to 151 at about 9:30ish, 30min till i start, had a few drinks by now and deffinatly feeling good, walk in and the place is already packed, its in the first hour of opening and its more packed then other dublife's get at their peak during the night. anyway i walk in and the guys before me are droping bangers. im thinking wtf are these whales doing, 1 going to get us in trouble 2 we arnt playing bangers so the crowd is probaly gonna be pissed when we played chill stuff. get to the DJ booth and we get told borgore isnt rocking up till 11:30 so its a free for all till then. fuck yeah, me and Struz, the other main dublife resident, jump on and start playing, to by far the biggest crowd ive played to in wollongong. start off with some heavy dubstep, after about 45min we drop into some mombahcore remix's then transition into heavy glitchop (dillion francis type shit) at this point filth collins rocks up behind the decks and is having some drinks with us, we play glitch till 11:30 then go back to dubstep, filth informs us that borgore dosent care what we play just so long as it isnt top 10 beatport stuff. so for the last 30min we do a 3 way verse set with me struz and filth collins. borgore rocks up and is chilling just outside the booth, crowd is fuckin insane by now. we play our last tracks and are ushered out of the booth for borgore to start, first thing he does is jump up on the dj booth and start amping up the crowd. with in a few seconds of his first track there is a massive moshpit going, which dosent stop the whole time. me and struz wonder up stairs and talk to our good friend who has to play the whole night upstairs, we offer him to go down and enjoy borgore for a bit and we will take over mixing duties for a but, he is stoked. had alot of fun, playing old school mightyfools and jack beats, first time id mixed electro in a yearish, had plenty of fun. all through the night had random people coming up and saying our set was fucking awesome, hot bish's too! have to say best gig ive ever played, by far
