Zedd recently took to Twitter to share with his fans some troubling news. The super star DJ and producer who was prominently featured in Forbes Richest DJs of 2014 has apparently been diagnosed with a sudden hearing loss in his left ear. Hearing loss is possibly a DJ and producer’s greatest fear as it can heavily impact their ability to create and perform music. At this point it is still unclear whether this will be permanent or only temporary. Steve Angello is another producer and artist who is also suffering of hearing loss, which is a big reason as to why fans never see the DJ with headphones while performing. We wish Zedd all the best and hope that this serves as a reminder to us all that taking care of your hearing, especially when exposing yourself to such loud noise and high decibel levels, is incredibly important. Yeahhhh.. After a private function, I noticed as I was going to mix a bounce track with an older, retro style track, I tried to echo-face out.. I noticed the effects button is stuck DOWN. It's not necessarily turned on, but stuck down. I've tried to pry the button up, bur that doesnt seeem to be working.. suggestions/ideas?

I felt Sennheisers to be really overpriced. Probably well priced for their quality, funily enough, my old man is mostly deaf, he uses senn's for watching tv/movies.. But for my first 'real' pair of headdies.. im stoked with the Pioneers. I cannot get enought of Pioneer products.

I actually tried to get this going at work the other day, but it wouldn't start streaming. It loaded etc, but no sound. None the less, i'll most likely record something today, im unsure if I'll get an hours worth, i'm hoping around 45 minutes or so will be sufficient lol. I'll advertise it on FB to get some listeners on board.

Now that im more confident in what im doing, im converting myself to CD (CDA format) and writing out on paper what tracklisting.. I find scanning through the track a lot quicker and smoother on CD, load times (despite analysing through RB) quicker with CD also. Plus, having a flick through the wallet is a bit more intreguing to find a track I may have forgotten about that would sound good.

I shall provide a link later in the week for downloadable bounciness.

I have some queries relating to this.. I am happy to thow some tracks together and create a tape for it.. Are voice over's ok thoughout the mix (such as a "you're listening to XYZ mixtape for Aus DJ Forums Radio")? I ask, because I feel i have been recently stooged when it comes to a podcast is all. Cheers guys, none the less, I shoudl be able to have something mixed in before the weekend.

I could probably throw something together, but im into the whole Melb Bounce / slightly minimal genre.. Done to death? haha

Thanks pal! For what its worth, those speakers I have are literally just threw them on there just for the minute. The speakers are actually satellites from a home hi-fi setup as I don't have propert monitors or anything. They're usually setup on the triangular, but I had to move the setup on my desk to fit the laptop on there the other day. Appreciate the input
