  2. Why does the official Hotel Orient Facebook page nor their website not mention this competition at all? They don't seem to be doing any promotions through their official channels at all (at least, none that I can find). Just curious. As far as I've noticed around social media, there are many others that are skeptical of this competition, and I'm trying to pinpoint why that is. Perhaps the vague associations and no official channels of advertisement or promotional material.
  3. That's a pretty nice lineup of clubs on the DJ resume. Thanks for joining dude, looking forward to your tunes and mixes.
  4. I think it's a good thing you're trying to do as long as you do it right. Good luck, and if you need any tips or just want to shoot the shit or bounce ideas off other guys, feel free to post.
  5. Still lol'ing every time I read topic
  6. Social media is undersold for this sort of shit. Get yourself all over it. Join every group and learn HOW to market yourself (not just spam the same shit everywhere). Become a part of communities and they will receive you well when you want something back. Market yourself the right way. (If you have any questions regarding what I've said, or want me to go further into it, then shoot).
  7. All bullshit aside, Experience is the tits for someone that wants it, and this guy is offering it. There's no reason to take it if you don't want to. The way this thread was first responded to was pretty bad for ADJF standards; don't let that sort of shit happen again. As long as this service is designed to help up-and-comers and give younger, new DJs a spot to get their grounding, and get over the initial nerves it takes to play in front of a crowd for the first time, then I think it's a good fucking opportunity. AS LONG AS it supports them, and doesn't use them to draw a crowd AND an income, then pay none of it to the DJ. Experience good. Ripping off bad.
  8. FUCKING LOL AT THE NAME
  9. Guys check out this track and provide some feedback
  10. The Chemical Brothers are back with a new album called Born in the Echoes, out July 17 via Astralwerks. Guests on the album include St. Vincent, Beck, Q-Tip, Cate Le Bon, and Ali Love. They've also released a new track, "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted", premiered today on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. Listen to it below. First single "Go" featuring Q-Tip is coming Monday, May 4. Find the tracklist below. Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons' last studio album, Further, came out in 2010. They released a live album called Don't Think in 2012. In 2011, they did the soundtrack for the film Hanna. Last year, they teamed up with Miguel and Lorde for a track off the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1 soundtrack. In an interview, Tom Rowlands said, "The most important feature of the album is that it connects with us emotionally in some way. We hope for finding a new way to make you feel. We dream of new sounds and different frames. We have worked with some guest singers but mostly the album is pure Chemical Brothers." Born in the Echoes: 01 Sometimes I Feel So Deserted 02 Go [ft. 16. TORONTO — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was reportedly involved in a fracas Sunday night with security guards at the Coachella music festival. According to TMZ, Bieber was placed in a chokehold and escorted out of the California festival during a headlining performance by Bieber’s fellow Canadian, rapper Drake. The website claimed Bieber was barred from entering the artists’ area because it was at capacity. When he persisted, he was forcibly removed. TMZ reported its sources countered that Bieber left the festival voluntarily and the 21-year-old singer is considering legal action against the security guards. Source
