I've already got a midi keyboard with pitch bends and shit (maudio axiom49) was just wondering for cues and shit, something like a launchpad looks like what I'd need. I'd need something to record loops and samples and have them play back or continue playing (like the sort of shit beardyman does).

I have this idea of producing some crazy experimental sound with a quartet. What's I'm wondering is, what the best equipment would be for this. Midi keyboards, launch pads etc. Stuff to let me hold weird synths and sounds while they're playing. I guess a lot of people use Ableton for this? I've never used any software/DAWs for live playing so no idea. Input pls!
