  1. yeh me too. Came back in about 30 hours. Send a follow up
  2. snoop ft kokane - go away from his last no limit album the last meal. for anyone looking for snoop gems that were not overplayed, check out his no limit albums. Wile the last meal had more of a g-funk/ west coast vibe as it had production from dre and scott storch as opposed to no limits own beats by the pound, the other albums have a totally different vibe. this song is reasonably standard west coast
  3. ive been buying on and off since 85 (still got that wierd al yankovic album and rocky IV soundtrack ) plus my aunties use to bring me back funk and breakdance compilations from the phils around that time and in my day a 12 inch was pretty much a standard bday gift, so i racked up a few. however since actually owning my own decks i aint bought many. some battle records, and then what i can digg out second hand. mainly anything i cant get digitally, or something that has a good mix on it. but yeh if i had a choice of a 3 dollar digital file or a fifteen dollar record. i would actually go the digital file, because then i could get five different tracks. ive said before i am a music fiend. i need new tracks on a regular basis (has to be a minimum 10, but i prefer 20, days before i want to hear a song ive heard again) , so if i ever dreamed of being just vinyl it would kill me. the other reason for preferring digital is because i cant be farked to rip my vinyl, so half the shit i have bought recently i want to be able to play at work and shit but cant. im not averse to buying up a collection. i mean i wouldnt just buy it because i would get a fark load of records. its more, if say out of fitty records i wanted 20 of them, and the going price was worth it for just those 20, then hella yeah id scoop it. my holmie inherited a shyte load of records, and to this day we still digg through that stash and find the best shit. a lot of it is good old funk style house.

  9. and anyone who ever goes to shibuya hit the are where manhattan records. heaps of records stores, not just hip hop but rock ones, jazz ones, dance ones. Everything. even a store that had all akai and technics stuff
  10. went to the shibuya branch of manhattan records (oh yeh thats right i posted about it in the mobb deep post). Anyways dug thru 12 crates of stuff, and got the 20 records for eleven bucks. freaking bargain. Ended up getting a whole bunch of jamaican 45's. i never told this story, but while in osaka the dude serving me at the xlarge store was a dj and he told me to go where he was playing that night. And he was smashing it thru old reggae, funk and soul 45's. such an awesome set
  11. chester french - not over you from a few years back, from their debut album. for those that dont know chester french they were in the boom of that "university" pop/ rock bands. basically harmonies and acoustics. they had a lot of hype with a lot of record labels trying to sign them, eventually they went with the neptunes star trak label. anyway i dig 'ém.
  12. nice tracks fellas. for those that dont know the rules to the game. basically run shuffl on your music device, phone, or if on computer your whole hard drive. no filters, no playlists , no albums. its basically a get to know you fred as we get to see what music you have as opposed to just the tracks you want us to know about (from totd, cotd, eggssellection etc.). oh and its on fridays (overit stuffs up sometimes and tries to blame the time difference )
  13. yooooo

  23. i know i woke up w regret this morning
  24. vinyl is well and truly alive in osaka. saw a few record stores today, eventually hit one called manhattan records. glad i did. They had a sale. copped five records for about 1.16 each includes OG la-di-da-di by doug e fresh couldve actually grabbed another 15 for another 5.82 because if bought 20 then it became half price. but one i still got two more cities to hit and 20 records are heavy (two of the ones i did get were already double albums). And two there was maybe only 8 i really wanted so decided not worth forcing 20
