I don't own a microkorg but have used one. It's pretty sweet but there's some other "mini" Korg synths around that you should look into. The R3 is a pretty good synth too

if i go digital i'll be sticking to my Mac just because ive used apple products for a very long time!! it just comes down to what you're use to. you defs need as less programs running in the background as possible so dedicate a laptop to music only

Denons are DNS1000's. ive had those since i was 15. my first ever dj set up and yeah thats a KP3

when you get to a venue, as a DJ, you hit a wall... you can only go to more venues and probably a festival or 2 but you're not going to get a great set time. even if you're playing peak time at some local tent, you're competing against industry big shots

Can do it a few different ways. You can get a real good quality recorder and hold the mic upto the speaker or you can record it directly into audacity while watching it off your computer. However, what I do (and what I feel is the easiest) i'll browse YouTube for what I want (HQ) and I'll download the audio. I'll then throw it into logic, process it a bit and chop it up. As long as you can get yourself a decent sounding quality sample / video then you'll be sweet. You can't notice it most of the time anyway

I use CDs and I'm pretty happy with that. As long as everything is labeled correctly then I'll use anything

Use anything. Shitty but decent computer speakers right through to real shit computer speakers or internal laptop speakers
