Yeah it will. You dont want to make your tempo change obvious, just doesn't sound very clean.

Member name: Stefan Producer name: Spitfire Where the fuck he comes from: Western Suburbs, Perth Western Australia Makes: Electro, Dubstep, Hip Hop, Soundtrack Weapons Of Choice: Logic Pro 9 (ES1 & ES2 amongst a whole host of onboard processing plugins), Massive, Guitar Rig, Kontakt, Reaktor, Korg Legacy, TAL, Sugar Bytes A breif bio on this producer: Been playing music all my life. picked up my first set of drumsticks at 6 months old. I continued to play drums until i received a piano scholarship in grade 4. I studied classical music and jazz. In high school i played in all sorts of musicals and jazz bands and played across town in various concerts. My love for electronic music started when I was 12, making some very... interesting tunes. I took things a little more serious when i was 15 when i took up DJing. I started small DJing high school events before finding myself playing online guest mixes and DJing in nightclubs. My first real production opportunity came in 2006 where I wrote an original score to the theatre production, "A Mid-summer Nights Dream". I took my electronic production a step further and continued to tweak and learn new techniques over the years. Accomplishments: Recording contract offer, original scores written and produced for theatre, SIM (school of international music) awards, WAMi (Western Australian Music Industry) Performance, Support for Benni (Riot in Belgium) & T-Rek, DJ Comp finalist, guest mixes and various club appointments (mainly peak). Must be serious. Probably some angry kid who couldn't post up a track list because of copyright or something hacked and torched the server
-
That's going to suck huge because I'm working on an EP with a guy from London and the only way of communication is via soundcloud!!! They better get this sorted ASAP!
-
This looks good. I'll have to get to this tomorrow I think. Have a clogged day. Good idea dude

Suggestion for what you could do is progressively increase the tempo. You'll be doing this over a few tracks so it's pretty subtle. I've done it a few times going from electro / breaks / dubstep and works a treat. Those genres compliment each other anyway but it's still an effective way IMO

Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home - FREE REMIX
LabRat replied to LabRat's topic in Electro & Bangers
Thanks man. If you do play it let me know how it works -
I gave it a go once. If you value your ears then I'd stick to cans otherwise there isn't much of a difference. I feel a little more comfortable with cans. Give it a go and see what you reckon

I see a bootleg to be a chopped up version on the original track. To me, if the track has been altered to sound different from the original then it's a remix. All these other names like bootleg and reworks are just some swanky crap. However, if you are editing a track using ONLY the instrumental and acapella stems with no other input then I do believe it should be called an edit rather then a bootleg. Only because the track hasn't technically been changed enough to lose it's original sound

Oh there will be bit it's all worth it man. It's called learning

pretty good dude. if i remember to download this tomorrow i might chuck it in my mix im working on. 2hr monster set hopefully
-
i think remixing is a good start because you can learn alot by screwing around with other peoples work. real good help on structure when you're using the stems. you can learn about chopping audio and all that. basically with a remix, the picture has been half painted and you're just putting in the final colours. its a good stepping stone to starting originals. with an original, you are basically coming up with the melody, all the fills and everything else that makes it your own. with a remix, the melody is there and you're just putting in the fills n stuff.... im sorry if none of this makes sense because im sure it doesnt... im a lil out of it lol

I just read up and saw cupe said follow people and if they don't follow back then find others. I don't think that's the best thong to do because it can come across as attention seeking. You should follow the people you are interested in and not for the sake if following. Example, I was a member on another site similar to YouTube and I had a decent following, BUT, because I didn't follow a lot of other people they pissed off. They also had this thing were it was comment for comment so I'd get all this random crap about how much they loved my music but it was all full of shit because they'd soon disappear. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I appreciate my support to the fullest. Only thing that irritates me is when I gotta stop making music because I have to follow a whole bunch of people and comment on their shit too. 9 times out of 10 they don't take constructive criticism too well. I told one chick she should try singing a but louder and push out those words and really get into it.... She stopped following me :/
