  1. same sitch as me it better be an improvement from the iPhone 4 (not a fan)
  2. get with the times buddy, this week its the ddj-t1 my bad, I'll catch up on next weeks decision
  3. Forgot to mention your doing it this way so you have 1 15" and 1 12" as your left channel and the same as your right channel, otherwise if you had 2 15's on 1 channel and 2 12's on the other you will have very very shit stereo sound also if you mixer doesn't have XLR inputs on the you can still do it this way, just buy a single RCA to twin XLR lead (2 leads needed) but XLR will be easier if possible
  4. Depends what connections your mixer has on the back I've got a DJM800 and the 12" versions of your audioline speakers and I just went XLR leads obviously because the speakers don't have any RCA ports on the back so what u needto do is go to Jaycar or JB-hifi or somewhere that sells a wide variety of leads and buy a single XLR to twin XLR lead (I'd link you a pic but I'm on iPhone) you will need 2 of those leads then plug the single XLR into the left master out channel of your mixer then plug 1 of the end of that lead Into 1 15" and the other into 1 12"....do the same for the right master out output This will be your best option
  5. I will give you $1300 right Noe for the 850's
  6. Yeh that's fair enough, but nightclubs aren't outsside in cold air go create condensation, they are usally in warm inside so condensation would be hard I believe foolish Wazza and yourself are right, I'm not arguing that point, I think the conditions would have to be pretty specific for enough condensation to build up on the back of a powered speaker to ruin it, outdoors and down south would be the most common I guess
  7. It falls down to 4 things mate The qaulity of your music being played, the levels on your mixer, the line in levels on your computer, and the recording levels in audacity it will be differnt for everyone but just go trial and error, just play 30 second off a song and check the qaulity, If it distorted drop the levels obviously for instance I'm set up like this, master volume on mixer about 50%, chanell gains stay out of the red obviously, laptop line in on 40%, audacity on 90% but I only found all of that after an hour or 2 of trial and error...that's all u can do man
  8. Im getting "this track is currently not available" will try again later
  9. thats sick $?
  10. if its running everything fine why upgrade? and its gonna cost us some tax money again so NO! + you'll be $1700 further away from your S4 again...
  11. yep, been chasing used 1's for a while now lol
  12. all good now, cupe moved it
  13. would love some feedback/tips
  14. alright specs http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/showth ... p?t=293917
  15. hmm maybe an amp on a table open to the air, but a set of amps in an amp rack all closed off and heating each other would be just as bad if not worse then 1 amp on the back of a speaker no? im no expert, just guessing
  16. thats probs a load of shit man, if it was on display at say JB-hifi or StoreDJ or DJwarehouse...they wont send it back to the supplier, they would just sell it at a discount as an ex demo either way id still go the refurbished i think
  17. id deffo go refurbished if it was me, just make sure you still have a full warrenty with it... but you also have to think...if they have a shitload of refurbished models then things obviously keep breaking on them and having to be sent back....
  18. welcome man , you looking to offload those 850's anytime soon?
  19. lol
  20. good idea in theory... but what happens when your internet drops.... lol thats one drop no DJ would want to... drop.... and your computer can still be controlled from the host so some WHALE could just fuck your shit up
  21. couldnt condensation build up on external amps as well though?
  22. good stuff i say thats the way to do it, only redo if you hit cue mid song or the power goes out or some shit lol
  23. gotta say mate you put on a pretty seamless mix, quality stuff, how many retakes you do? edit it with software at all?
  24. you could easily go from ableton or logic to a controller then to the line in on your mixer just like skrillex does...that way your CD's and TT's work as normal and you can use your software as you please novation launchpad would be cheapest/easier for just launching clips, or maybe apc20 for the knobs n sliders if you wanted to control effects n shit
  25. bahahahahaha chick in the yellow looks like Bob off fight club
