On the fly trance mix by Devant- Robsta posts a mix!
dflux4 replied to Robsta's topic in Trance & Progressive
Hey bro, Listened to your mix, really enjoyed some of the tracks you have in there. When your transitioning just remember to bring in the next track on the start of a new phase. There were times where you were bringing in the new track when the one playing was still mid phase so it did mash together as well. Also there were a few where it sounded like it was a touch of beat but that was easily fixed. All in all solid effort keep posting them mate -
So i guess now she's going to have to be away... PERMANENTLY Hahaha, na when she gets back I will just tell her that this is how they are going to stay... I think...

Well spotted andyman.... I have also added another box of shoes underneath the monitors to get them to a higher level... Still not quite ear level, being 6ft i need proper stands but doing with what I have for now

So my gf's away for a bit and i decided to get into the spare room (more like her wardrobe) and move stuff around. The decks were a little cramped in the corner but after a little bit of moving around this is how it sits

Will be good to see what happens with the idea, but i agree with eggs. The clubs you go to where they judge you on your attire are generally full of douche bags anyway.... I work in the city and used to go to Establishment and Ivy on a regular basis after work only because its so close and i was already dressed in a suit... I myself wouldn't choose to go into either on a regular weekend as generally what i wear out will not get me though the door. Security guards just love the power trip

http://www.inthemix.com.au/news/aust/52 ... ign=10281-[iTM%20Weekly]%20Avicii,%20Aphex%20Twin,%20Heatwave,%20Swedish%20House%20Mafia# With Tank one of the casualties of 2011, there’s been a lot of talk in recent months about the need for more custom-built clubs in Sydney. Well, it looks like we might be about to get our wish…but in a perhaps unexpected corner of the city. This week inthemix was told that a new superclub with a 1,200-person capacity is set to open in The Star (you might remember it before the overhaul as Star City Casino). The news is backed up by the Careers page of the Star’s website, which promises “there will be an exciting new nightclub which will open late this year.” The spiel also adds that “the completed property is set to become a shining light in Sydney’s night scene.” The Star confirmed to inthemix that an Events Centre catering for up to 4,000 people was going to open up in 2012. Of course, there are plenty of variables when you put the words “superclub” and “casino” together. Clubs at Star City have certainly had a colourful history, with none other than infamous stockbroker Rene Rivkin setting up shop there from 1997 with the Cave nightclub. In recent years, Vegas has gone all out to get the mix right, with the likes of Marquee, XS and Encore Beach Club bringing dance music to the high-rollers. Maybe Sydney’s following that trend? We’ll keep you updated on developments.

Top 10 Most Common Production Issues for starting Producers
dflux4 replied to street's topic in Music Production
Nice info Street thanks mate! -
Griffin continues to turn out iOS accessories at CES, but none appear quite as useful for budding independent musicians than their new MIDI docks. Griffin’s two new docks potentially turn the iPad into a reasonably powerful portable music studio solution. Griffin’s cheaper option the MIDIConnect ($79.99)adds a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI-in port to the iPad allowing users to plug in keyboards, guitars, and other MIDI devices. Also, it allows users to record these MIDI devices directly to the iPad. The MIDIConnect includes a MIDI-out as well allowing the iPad to be used as a MIDI Controller. Griffin’s more expensive and feature filled option is the StudioConnect ($149). The StudioConnect has the same MIDI-in and MIDI-out connections as its cheaper sibling, but adds .25” mono port, a 3.5mm jack, an additional 3.5mm headphone jack (with its own volume knob), as well as left and right line-level RCA plugs. The crazy amount of ports available on the StudioConnect definitely warrants the added price, and effectively turns the iPad into a mobile studio. This doesn’t take away from what the MIDIConnect accomplishes though. Both products aim to make mobile music composition a much more professional and affordable affair.

As stated above, Traktor or Serato is your best choice, unless you want to buy CDJ's that are recordbox compatible.
