  1. then just get $25 jb headphones...
  2. OMG you and sol dios could be the ultimate husband and wife dj duo
  3. What are you, 12?
  4. You can get a screen replacement kit off ebay for 20 bucks, if its just the touchscreen, if its the lcd as well then its 60. Fuck apple. On that note, I just passed my phone interview to work at the apple store. GIMME THE JOB YA whales
  5. We should throw a festival on top of Ayers Rock, you know as a tribute to the traditional owners/spirits of the land.
  6. I mate got me a job djing, then I started liking it. Probably the reverse of how it should happen.
  7. I also have the rmp1scratch and rmx30 from dj whore house. Build quality is great, although cause the cdjs are rubber coated, mine have some scratch marks from the side of the mixer. Feature wise: rmp1 - no midi - no usb - no effects but the platter is responsive and solid and I can see them lasting long term. auto bpm is inaccurate but you shouldn't be using that anyway. If you go, 1track -> 1 cd, you can store cue points/loops for up to 1000 cds in its memory. The mixer has no effects either. But the faders are well built yet VERY light and responsive. You can adjust the curves on all faders including the cross. Sound quality is great. Overall I think your choice would come down to. Do you get the dj warehouse pack. Or hunt online for something slightly better with more features, but obviously used. Would I buy them again? Yes
  8. I don't mean to be disrespectful and I pick on everybody in your situation equally. Sol, Please turn the pitch of your voice down. You don't have to be barry fucking white, somewhere between Obama and Darth Vader is a good start. I hope you see this as a suggestion not an insult.
  9. Maybe, But only if I wore this http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewi ... 0323392994
  10. We should make a thread where people write they're first setup/costs/pros/cons.... Then when somebody asks we can say "search is your friend" and be all smug about it.
  11. Awesome, into the shadows I go...
  12. I believe it's now time for Scratch battle between sol and karma
  13. Yeh it does...
  14. Can I change my forum name? Short of deleting my account? I just realized I'd rather not have this come up in google...
  15. Reloop rmp1 rmx30 ftw!
  16. I have the 15 inch i7 mbp. Never used more then 20% CPU even when I was trying to crash it, 4 decks, 6 effects on each deck... You should be fine.
  17. Looked up a review and formed the following opinion. To be honest mixtrack does look better than the bcd3000 and has a couple more buttons. They both seem to have a poor plasticky build quality, however mixtrack costs double. The "scroll" seems interesting but I hardly ever play from a set playlist. And WTF is up with the master volume in between the faders? For that price range I think the Hercules steel provides the same functionality and won't fall apart on you.
  18. I think first off you do the bedroom thing. I'm not familiar with mixtrack, will look it up.
  19. Also don't forget to go down to your local and shazzam everything they play. You want to sound as similar to everybody as possible. People are afraid of change.
  20. Honestly, I'd say get some form of Dj software, preferably traktor by any means necessary and muck around using the hotkeys, if you enjoy it then PURCHASE a controller that will come traktor le. I got the bcd 3000 from store Dj for $200, the jog wheels are a bit small but it's great for the price and a good way to get into djing. Also use some big heaphones you have lying around and computer or stereo speakers. Just be careful not to become dependent on waveforms ...
  21. So fresh is good for filling out your music collection or the mos anuals.
  22. For a second I thought that said "I want to learn how to REproduce"
