  1. This ones for cupe. Chuck it on, drive home, take a shit, come back.
  2. lie nux
  3. That one song by that chick, um whats her name, it goes something like this. dum dum DUM dum dum DUM dum. Yeh, that song. I've noticed that recently i've been getting less requests so I guess i'm getting something right. But yeh "that shuffling song" keeps getting requested by the parents because "the kids like it".
  4. Just make sure that the resistances match before you connect anything. Only prob I can see for using this for anything besides a mic is that the pedals are mono.
  5. Oh and as their about to head off the door I do a "ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together one last time for Mr and Mrs LASTNAME!" But what I like to do at this point, is turn the mic down just a tad, so I can get semi shouty and energetic.
  6. Something along the lines of this might work? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BEHRINGER-DI ... 2a12aacbf7
  7. I've done over 10 weddings (some good, some so-so) and have made some observations. 1. During the bridal waltz, usually, youl invite the bridal party, then family, then the rest to join in. This is a great time to kick of a dance set. 2. The desert will FUCK YOU UP, no matter how much people are enjoying themselves, when desert is called the dance floor is gone. 3. If you have any say in how the night is run, get them to group the boring stuff such as entrance, food, speech and waltz together then about 30 min-1 hour break, then garter and flowers, then more dancing. 4. Again if you have say, get them to seat the oldies at the back of the room, away from the speakers, or theyl tell you to turn it down over and over. 5. Speaking of oldies, have some cheese for them, the dancing grampa usually gets people up. Are they expecting you to mc as well? Theres nothing worse than a slow boring start, then they run out of time.
  8. If I may be corny for a second. Djnamic
  9. Just my opinion. a) too hard to pronounce too long, drop the dj and just go with Scission
  10. Just be carefull who's name u call out...
  11. Yeh and her dude is a total dud and you cant help but think, if you beat him in a scratch battle then shed be yours for the taking.
  12. If you want it to also work independently from your laptop i would do the following. Get a rca splitter, like so http://search.dicksmith.com.au/electron ... 0Y%20Cable You'll need 4 of them, 2 for each cdj (1 for each channel L & R). For the sake this example we'll just work with CDJ 1 R Chanel. 1. Plug the single side into the cdj. 2. On the double side plug one into the audio4. 2b. plug the audio 4 (using ur current cable) into one of the channel 1 inputs of the mixer. 3. plug the OTHER double side straight into the OTHER channel 1 input on the mixer. 4. Use your input selector switch on the mixer to select what you want. so the way this would work is. For time code, the cdj signal is sent to the audio4 -> latop -> back to audio4 -> mixer (as music). For direct cdj playback, flip the input switch so it goes. cdj -> mixer. This way you can even have one cdj as timecode while using the other one for cd's. I hope this helps.
  13. In tsp you can select weather you want time code control or through mode, which just plays the audio from that cdj, you can also use the effects on it
  14. thats a fucking joke, its pretty much like a bloody concert Last night I played a 30th in a wharehouse that looked exactly likethat except maybe half the size. They set me up in a loft thing so I had a pretty epic view of everyone(s tits). Sadly they wanted mostly pub rock and country...
  15. Really? My mac NEVER turns off, shut the lid and it just sits there... ... waiting.
  16. I gotta say, loca people is really starting to grow on me.
  17. so loops and cue point juggling fine then? Sigh, im having a real hard time finding In The Dark (Tom Piper & Riddler Remix) - Dev vs Havana Brown
  18. So just to clarify. As long as: 1. 35 minute minimum 2. 10 songs minimum 3. only use the exact listed songs We can do ANYTHING to it?
  19. The way I like to do it when mobiling, is to break it up into +- 15 minutes mini mixes. Start of with a semi well known track, then build it up. When the floor is full keep going with another 2-3 good songs then wrap it up and mix in the next genre. Usually there will be young and older people, for the most part they will be open to most music, but i find its best when it alternates, so one group can dance and the other drink. As it gets near the end, i make the 'segments' smaller and smaller until im pretty much mixing whatever I want. Everybody will stay up because its near the end of the night and they know that next song could be anything, literally keeping them on their toes.
  20. Do they root? but seriously. What is their expectation on mixing ability. Creative freedom vs play my song now, its my birthday
  21. I hope not either. All the guys looked like derros. Still if anybody in melbourne is comming down then speak up so we can go as crew, striking poses and such.
  22. Would it help if I brought bitches?
  23. In all seriousness, if the guy is THAT rich. Get him to arrange a camera crew. Also LASERS, millions upon millions of LASERS.
