Im gona have to talk here, The s4 isn't really made for beat matching (e.g. the tiny faders and the position of the jog wheels) Personally, I don't mind if they use it, as long as they CAN beatmatch normally, it doesn't matter to me.

If your starting out id recommend the mix track pro, however, if you want something a little more advanced, get the Denon mc3000! It's a great controller, and beats the s2 hands down. The big reasons why: 1. Solid steel chassis 2. Dedicated faders 3. 4 deck control

Sorry I thought you would prefer this, mainly because it's better than what you want for cheaper

I have absolute no idea as to how this could be true, all a fader does is tell the processor what level it's at, it doesn't affect the sound quality at all.

Yeh, Reloop make some really nice gear at GREAT prices, the rmp3's are pretty much 900's with hot cues and a non tilted screen. If you want a controller perhaps consider the ns6? It's a great unit with good sized jog wheels and a really nice feel!
