  1. mixers like that put a heart beat in my pants.
  2. thanks another bunch eggs. I did get around to it working. Ah, It came down to using the MIDI editor. You can change all the buttons, save the configuration etc but i did not know you had to 'save data file'. i just thought saving it was all you needed. It was an annoying try everything and fail lots experience. the tsi stuff is interesting & the info about ableton so it was still worth a post. Thanks heaps everyone!
  3. Does that mean Traktor always has to be run through ableton. Cause i really would prefer not to do that. for many a reasons. Well i will look into it. thanks guys. [5 mins later edit]: is the option for traktor and ableton to work together only possible on mac? cause thats all i can seem to find help with. but if anyone has any other advice on just mapping the two through traktor alone, well, that would be spiffy.
  4. i accidentally clicked the wrong thing twice and it would not let me delete the mistake. just start over. for the $$, i would rather spend x2 the time mapping a beer can ..seriously i would love to see more of these 'online home-brew kits' for MIDI's online though. nice Sol
  5. did i mention its light as a fart? damn i always miss something out its not bad at all Jaz, im not sure if i had my time over if i would grab, save a few extra $$ or wait for the next thing. It will do its job though. Unless you wanna bang out some Bach
  6. So i recently got my little AKAI MPK mini. Thought i would write a small few things on my views on it. Firstly the size is amazing. lovely little laptop keyboard size. The pad controls on the right have an awesome response. They keyboard (which i was worried about the size) is great for me, but you would not want to have sausage fingers to play this bad boy and only having one octave range is fine for basic production but for that reason the 'octave up' and 'octave down' keys seem almost pointless other than using them as mapping tools. The knobs a very close together and after just one day i am waiting for one of them to break off. And to wrap it up the drum pads (which was a seller for me) were said in reviews to be strong and amazing quality. That they are. So much that when your in a full on session with this MIDI they are not very responsive cause you have to really bang em down. Unlike other MIDI's in the past where you can change sensitivity on the pads, with this you can not (nor with the sensitivity of the keyboard). I paid $100 for mine, worth it if you got a toy box of gear but i would not rely on this to use as a frisbee for my dog to catch at the beach with out breaking. 6/10 Hope this helps anyone looking into buying this product
  7. that was A+ street. v-nice
  8. hey guys, so i got an annoying ass issue here. I got a AKAI MPK mini today and mapped it all out to Traktor S4 which was fine. But the idea i had was to map it with other MIDI controllers. After mapping out the AKAI i moved on to map my KORG NanoPad. Problem: a button or knob will come up as eg. Ch01.CC.02 and that i have set for a variable or Traktor. Then i try and set my KORG to do something else and it seems that it also has a button that will come up as Ch01.CC.02 and they conflict. Both buttons have different commands but with execute them simultaneously. I went into the KORG NanoPads control software and changed everything from Global settings, changing all the buttons to things like Ch56.F#.126 to try to get away from the problem. But everytime i load Traktor it just keeps conflicting with the last mapped button. If anyone knows what im talking about, or has had the same issues PLEASE HELP ME ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!! combing through the net has only proved to be a pain in the ass and alot of stupid youtube tutorials that have nothing to do with what im talking about.
  9. aye mate
  10. eggs, you have come through again. cheers champ!
  11. i got a *bump* question. I have an answer for at least 2 midi controllers. But im wondering, how many midi controllers can traktor use at once being 2, 3, 4 or infinite? Im not really looking for an answer of which controller can do everything in one (cause i know kontrol s4 would be obvious) but how many it can take? thanks
  12. Cheers mitch, i been looking for something completely new and different for a little bit now. would have never come across this.
