  1. I'm 18 so plan to get out and see some different places and stuff. Yer for sure man, that shouldn't be an issue, I'll see how I go and if I can I'll message you
  2. Yer I'll definitely try tune in man. Having a holiday with fam, and coz its my last holiday before I move out next month, I got to choose where we went. Perth looks nice and always wanted to go so that's why I said we should come check it out
  3. Yer that track has been pretty big this year. A lot of people in my area are digging kanye atm. I dropped a dubstep remix of 'who gonna stop me now' off that same album by them a couple of weeks ago, and it went down well. As for if it's the best hip hop track this year, I wouldn't say so. But then again I don't know what i would pick myself
  4. Im Considering taking the laptop with me so my parents can use it to email and stuff, but not sure yet aye
  5. Welcome brother You've come to the right place
  6. Was just about to go to bed and saw this get posted so thought it might chill me out before i sleep. It Did just that. I thought the piano sounded a bit overpowering compared to the rest of the track when i first listened, but by the end of the track i'd changed my mind about that and i like it how it is. This stuff is good to listen to at night when your all relaxed. Nice one man, I don't mind it at all
  7. plane gets in at around 7-8am on the 31st i think,
  8. i'm coming to perth on holidays, but not til the 31st otherwise i would have definately would have come down man. Are you playing at all between new years and the 12th?
  9. i think it only scans the first couple of minutes, so if it isn't the first track you should be sweet. Or just add some white noise to the start of mix - say first 5 mins. And i can't see the problem with you joining, i haven't even got the chance to practice my mix yet. Haven't gotten round to touching the decks for a couple of weeks. Leave it to ill spector to decide though. he's in charge
  10. Thanks mate, appreciate the listen
  11. Just had a listen, I liked this man. There was that spot where the levels went a bit funny and i think you hit the play button too early a couple of times but besides that it was pretty clean, enjoyed it. Do you have a tracklist? Wouldn't mind getting a couple of the tracks for my own sets
  12. 200 pounds is close enough to $298AUD for people reading this, so call it $300. There is a mixtrack pro review thread here - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6655&hilit=mixtrack+pro You can read imadje's, myself, among others opinions about it. It is decent to learn on, was my first Dj setup. However found i wanted to upgrade after a few months, and now i don't use it at all. If you have never DJ'ed before, it is also a cheap and easy way to see if you like it or not before spending too much money on it. However if you already have some experience and know your going to get into it, you could spend a bit more money and get something a bit more advanced. The Traktor S4 that Robsta mentioned is a excellent pro level controller that you wouldn't need to upgrade from, however is up over the $1000AUD mark, well above your budget. There is also alot of controllers between these two, these are pretty much both extremes. Can't personally recommend any others though as i have no experience with them. End of the day, mixtrack pro is a cheap easy way to get into DJing on a tight budget and good value for money, but if you want to spend more there are better controllers around.

    TOTD?

  14. I believe the price of tracks drop after a certain amount of time and/or a certain amount of sales, so it must have reached that amount of sales quickly, which is believable
  15. I listened, i liked. Nice track selection. Was funky but chill at the same time. Would consider doing a disco/house set like this for first half hour in the night at local club, as not many people around. May try something like this next time i play.
  16. I've been able to see it on beatport fine since release
  17. One word - Dope! All your tracks are sick man, always quality. keep it up
  18. S4 is obviously a better controller as is it is pro level where the mixtrack is a beginner level, but he hasn't told us how much he wants to spend yet so its hard to recommend anything
  19. Some cool tracks in there, not stuff i would normally be exposed to, but i like it. Nice stuff man
  20. depending on how much you were looking to spend, you could get a more basic mixer which will save on your budget, and allow more for the CDJs. The DJM 350 is fairly basic, as is the A&H Xone 22, and still good quality. Don't know any others to recommend as i don't have experience with anything other than Pioneer mixers, but i'm sure others can recommend some mixers for you. As long as it is in good condition, all the inputs/faders/eq's work and are smooth, there are no missing fader knobs, no visible damage, and that sort of thing, there shouldn't be too much of a problem buying used. Plenty of users on here have bought used gear. Keep your eye out, you may find some gear, possibly even a whole package, that hasn't been used for very long before the person parts with their whole setup. Or you may need to buty individually, depends what is up for grabs at the time. I'd say not too long after christmas some used gear will come up though
  21. Good to hear it is solved. For next time, you can keep your issues in one thread and put all your posts for an issue in that thread, you don't have to continually create new topics.
  22. Dang, just tried to DL this, comes up saying download limit exceeded then rejects my request to DL
  23. So after a couple of hours installing messing around in ableton tonight, I have exported my first mashup. "Rhythm Of The Night' by Corona "Rattle' by Bingo Players http://soundcloud.com/mitch_fudd/rhythm-of-the-rattle-mitch This is my first crack at doing anything with a DAW, only started using one tonight so take it easy on me Let me know what you think
  24. Depends on what your budget is, what you want to get out of DJing, what type of DJing you want to do. Some basic questions to answer that will help us determine what will best suit you are: Budget? What do you want to get out of DJing (e.g. just muck around in bedroom, house parties, weddings, clubs etc.)? What type of Djing do you want to (Scratch DJ, club mixing, etc.)
  25. Fixed. Bundled with VDJ makes it sound cheap to me. Looks like its trying to come in around a price point of a s2, but with more features (easy timecode hookup, 4 deck control). Will be interesting to see how much it will cost, and what the reviews are when it is released
