  1. I reckon this is a mad idea I'd definately watch
  2. Whoever voted for me I love you forever <3
  3. My knowledge isn't fantastic on speakers, however i wouldn't recommend any of the above. If you are going to get PA speakers, get active ones that don't need an amp (as Jaz said). Also as Jaz mentioned, go with a brand that has some rep. So i'd recommend to spend a bit more and get something with a bit of quality. If you don't want to spend too much money (and want to stick within the price range of speakers you mentioned), for that money you'd probably be better off going with some monitor style speakers. However these are only really suitable for playing at home, and not out at parties etc. I don't know anything specific to recommend , so ill leave that up to others. Hope this helps man
  4. a 3 pin power cord should help your cause.. is the power cable out of the mixer one that just unplugs? If so its just a matter of taking that cable into some sort of store that sells electronics and asking for one with a 3 pin on the end.
  5. welcome man

  10. A good beginner setup would either be CDJ 400 + DJM 400 OR CDJ 350 + DJM 350. The 350 series has replaced the 400, they are slightly newer unit, recordbox support etc. At the end of the day they have a similar feature set, and are both pretty good to learn on. Pioneer is the standard in CDJs, so if you learn on any of their models, it is easy to transfer your skills on to a higher level deck if you ever want to move in that direction. A member on the forums here currently has a CDJ+DJM 350 set in a roadcase for sale, may be of interest to you - viewtopic.php?f=23&t=6982 As for speakers to use, i don't know alot so i'll leave that to someone else to answer Hope this helps
  11. Na voting hasn't started yet man
  12. nice effort man couple of the beatmatches slightly out, but obviously can't expect perfection when mixing this fast. I liked it overall, flowed well. Mix got better as you went along, and got into it more. Phrasing seemed pretty good, especially considering the small time to beatmatch/mix the song. Pretty tight mix overall. track selection suited this kind of mashup style well. will definately be hitting up DJcity for some of these tracks to use. Would also like to try something like this. Did you have hotcues preset before you mixed, or do everything on the fly?

  19. I don't own one of these myself, but as far as cable neatness in general: -try tape the cables associated with each deck together (obviously leaving a bit of length at the end so they still reach to wherever). So all the traktor cables to the left deck could be taped together, and all the right ones taped. -use short cables where you can, so there isn't too much excess length left over. -If there is excess length, get some zip ties or something like that and tie together. If you have a roadcase you should be able to tuck them away to some degree. A good vid i think skank? posted not too long ago regarding traktor/serato setup and the taping of the cables that you might want to look at: (skip in a little bit to the actual bit about setting up traktor/serato) Note i don't own traktor so not 100% sure how much this will help, its just a thought that may help
  20. Dope Aus Hip Hop Song. Crundy,, ill look em up tomorrow. There is heaps of underground rappers/hip hop artists in aus that don't get much recognition for their mad talents though. Half the time they are better than the few that make it
