Mix your heart out comp - VOTE FOR THE WINNER!
Mitch replied to Cupe's topic in Competitions, Battles & Collabs
Congrats lurk6r, And well done to everyone who entered, they were all very solid entries, which made it hard to vote. Enjoy the headphones man -
personal opinion as to whether they are better or not. some quick points off the top of my head for each: CDJ 850s -recordbox integration -USB support -HID/MIDI support -auto beat looping -newer player CDJ 1000s -No USB -Found in a lot more clubs, more of a standard (however getting phased out for 2000s) -Hot cues -You will almost certainly buying these used, and will all be a few years old. The 850s are similar to the 1000s but silver, and less the hot cues, but plus the USB support, so more media flexibility. I'd probably go 850s over 1000s However 900s are definately better than both

I'd definately go powered speakers. As source said, they are designed to work as is with the amp inside them, less fuss with amp racks etc. As for what ones to get, if you want to go high end i'd lean towards JBL, mackie and similar. If you want to go a bit cheaper there is behringer and similar. I don't know too many of the brands as i'm not real up to date with exactly what to get, but you get a rough idea of the different quality levels. By the looks of your budget you wanna go some good quality stuff so would be looking at JBL, Mackie etc. Don't be afraid to arrange hire of some speaker for a couple of gigs to make sure they are what you want, and even have an in store demo. Worst thing is having buyers remorse. Hope this helps

foolish your link didn't work for me?

another way to look at it is you can buy brand new cdj 350 + djm 350 package for around 2000, so what incentive is there to buy older generation, used equipment for only 300 bucks cheaper

jus got home from DJing at an 18th, was alright. However wasn't expecting half the people there to be oldies, so had to change my music lists a bit from top 40 remixes to a blend of it with a bunch of old 80's and shit. but they were happy at the end of the night so i guess thats all that matters. Hakuna matata did get played too.

skype/facetime intercontinental communications info pls
Mitch replied to imadje's topic in Computer Corner
by reading around, looks like you can chat with up to 10 on skype, and 25 is you purchase skype pro, so it should be right. So Skype should be fine, but if it doesn't end up doing what you need, here is a summed up comparison of some other options which some are free and will do what you want. http://www.geekersmagazine.com/best-fre ... vices.html -
if you've tried re installing audio drivers and all the other usual things and its just not detecting it in the realtek program your in a bit of trouble, and your sure thats not its not software/driver related anymore, it is quite possibly a motherboard fault. How old is the PC? Only other place i would look is the sounds and audio in control panel to make sure that is all set to your internal sound card. If you have any external sound cards, unplug them to make sure they aren't interfering with anything. This Probably won't fix it though. If you aren't keen on replacing the motherboard (not sure what your level of comp knowledge is), you could pick up a cheap external soundcard that could get you by. Otherwise a motherboard replacement isn't too expensive if the computer that you have isn't too old, as you can just get a motherboard to math the CPU and RAM that you have currently. If you want to get a new motherboard, send some specs of your comp and i can help recommend you what to buy

Ellissentials - Moving Mountains (Twobob Remix)
Mitch replied to Ellissentials's topic in House & Disco
not really my style of music, but can see it is well composed, and sounds good. Intro is max long though, like cupe said. takes a while to get into it. Remix is well polished, i don't mind it either. Nice work man -

skank how did you do the intro to your mix? did you sample the mstrkrft version of bounce over the calvin harris one, or did you use a version of the track pre edited like that? -

I meant just from computer in general (all my music is in iTunes folder on my comp) Try using the recordbox software JaZ. It Analyses all your tracks and and can export them to USB I believe, along with preset cue points and bpm analysed. Also allows you to make playlists, browse by genre, artist, album etc. Try it out and see if that fixes your problem at all
-
Are you using the recordbox software at all jaz? Or just copy and pasting from iTunes folder?
-
well touchBB was setup on here for a bit and its free, not sure if its still installed though cupe? Besides its only like 2 bucks to experience ADJF in all its goodness
-
Then eggsell should try getting tapatalk
-
Can you get tapatalk on the iPad?
-
That's what it usually does. But if your having trouble, what cupe is saying to do: Change to Allow all cookies => login => change setting back
