  1. Ye I knew it wasn't fantastically accurate. I don't bother reporting incorrect ones, gives me that edge above other djs who think its the key stated on beatport But srs just cbf reporting
  2. Yer you can't migrate apps from xp to 7/8 You can run both @ once on a mac - have a windows 7 session running inside a window - however performance is nowhere near as good as fully rebooting into the windows install, and won't be very suitable for ableton use
  3. Leave mac for normal stuff Capture your whole windows install and redeploy to new windows machine Ez
  4. Moved to hardcore and gabber. Also you forgot to post a link to the actual mixtape
  5. They shall be banished
  6. Don't always trust their bpm and key as gospel though

  8. You can get 850s for a couple hundred (if that) more, and they are a current unit and you'll know they are 2-3 years old at worst. CDJ 1000's you pay a considerable amount and considering they came out in 2006, you could be buying a 7 y.o. unit and you don't know it's history
  9. Easier, yes. Better, no
  10. Quoted for the troof. Although i do it in logic, Same sorta deal -get original track & import -determine bpm -adjust bpm to suit instrumental -acquire acapella -adjust to the same tempo as the full version of track.
  11. I built Cupe's PC earlier this year, and from memory it was 1300ish + postage. Specs: Cooling - Corsair H60 PSU: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W HDD: 2 * 2TB Seagate Barracuda (Running in Raid 1 for auto redundancy) - all data is saved to two hdd's at once so if 1 fails your pc keeps working, + you can replace the faulty one with no downtime, etc. SSD: Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD Graphics: Gigabyte Geforce GT 640 OC 2GB (runs up to 4 screens) OS: Windows 8 64 bit RAM: Kingston Hyper-X 2x8GB 1333 (16GB total) CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H-MVP Optical: Samsung Sata DVD Drive Chassis: NZXT Phantom 410 with built in fan controller 5 fans (1 front, 2 top, 1 rear (water cooling fan) + psu fan) Windows Experience Index Rating: 6.9 Startup time = 17 seconds (roughly)

  13. I dual boot my mac pro desktop into windows it is pretty sweet like that. However space isn't an issue as I have 4 hdd's in it being the desktop. Dual booting a laptop is a different story though. If your current macbook pro is good for everything else & you are just buying a new computer for production, may as well get a windows computer. Are you looking at getting a desktop or laptop for the production computer? If desktop go custom build PC (i could even build you one and post it to you if you wanted/needed).

  19. I presume you are talking about learning to beat mix. Easy tracks would be songs you know well, plus have a solid kick & snare. 128bpm house/electro music is probably some of the easiest to learn with. A lot of people find having the same track on both decks is good to start learning with . An example of a fairly easy song to learn from that you will probably know (just grabbed no. 1 aria club track atm): https://soundcloud.com/willsparks/timmy-trumpet-snapback-will edit: overit mostly beat me to it
