  3. great track selection though!
  4. Was going to ad that to mine, love ajax's label
  5. TRANCE Now for some of my trance faves. Probably the biggest label out there, you can't go past; Armada Music http://www.beatport.com/label/armada-music/38 Obviously alot of cheese on Armada but still some great stuff, they also have alot of sub labels like Zouk which if full of sick progressive house, Armind which is more pure trance sounds and of course the ASOT sub label which features alot of the artists and tracks on the A State of Trance radio shows and events. Armada's number one track of 2012! Anjunabeats http://www.beatport.com/label/anjunabeats/804 Above and Beyond's massive trance label, the more airy/commercial groove driven end of trance similar to Armada, but also has some great stuff, for more pure and uplifting trance check out Anjunadeep a sub label of Anjunabeats. Iboga Records http://www.beatport.com/label/iboga-records/919 Proably a bit much for some but home to the best of psy trance and goa going around these days. the likes of Ace Ventura and Captain Hook etc on here! Here's a video of psy in action, Liquid Ace dropping a ridiculous psy track.
  6. Great thread! Have always said the best way to find music of a particular sound is through labels some of my favourites are: ELECTRO Club Cartel Records http://www.beatport.com/label/club-cartel-records/21515 Local label full of sick electro and melbourne style stuff. Lots of j-trick, jay fresh, tonic etc on here Pop Rox Muzik http://www.beatport.com/label/pop-rox-muzik/17774 A very similar style to Club Cartel, techno, electro and melb shiz, american based from memory. House Of Fun http://www.beatport.com/label/house-of-fun/22043 Sydney based label, run by Starfuckers, easily my favourite club night and djs in Syd! Their label is fairly new but are pumping out some sick electro from all local guys. Here is the reece lowe and joel fletcher remix of Starfucker's big single 'one night' Vamp Music http://www.beatport.com/label/vamp-music/17807 Lastly another local Sydney label, Vamp Music is run by the company i dj for and support local artists and djs through their releases, they also throw some of the sickest parties. techno and real thrashy electro goodness
  7. Is it any good though? Have never herd it mentioned before

    TOTD?

    One of the best
  9. Controller is really the best way to start out imo. I wouldnt worry too much about speakers yet man, you can hire fairly cheap and dont risk blowing your own speakers.
  10. Disgraceful all of you haha
  11. Yeah would certainly go down well in alot of clubs
  12. Not that at all, it's just painful software. You would be one of the few to not be annoyed with it. I had an old samsung mp3 players, and that did a better job years ago then itunes manages.
  13. What the new version or the old one? Because it has always been the downfall of apple products, piece of shit software.
  14. Did itunes actually manage to get even worse?
  15. Hardstyle and trance are very much 'niche' genres in Australia, which means it is fairly hard to get gigs unless you produce or form a decent relationship with a crew playing that type of music. House/electro would be your best bet in terms of getting gigs, yes swedish house mafia goes down well at all electro/house clubs even in full on commercial sets people dig them.
  16. Yeah certainly no 'best' type of music to mix, obviously the commercial ends of rnb/hip hop and dance will be the easiest to get gigs playing. There is a huge amount of tutorials/videos online, and i think youll find most on here learnt by figuring it out as opposed to dj schools which can be rushed and an overly simplistic idea of djing.
  17. Going to hook us up with some promos to play your stuff out?
  18. Easily one of the worst things in the scene, remove all the good bits of clubbing yet have the power because of the money.
  19. I am 100% going. WHen do tickets go on sale Fuck yeah! Not sure yet man
  20. That new pioneer looks amazing
  21. Quite liked the tunes
  22. Some great choices, hooked on promises atm cant get it out of my head
  23. Yeah thats all it comes down to, if you have the cash get 900s, if not go 850s. I would have got 850s if i didnt get my 9s for such a sweet deal
  24. One would assume so man, but i find 900s very slow on loading cds, whilst 2000s are a little better. I have only ever used usb on 850s not cd.
