your too easily pleased I reckon. I don't what you mean by type of music? It wouldn't be hard for them to run an ableton set-up using some samplers and outboard gear. These whales are just making money off the mass market who are too dumb/ignorant to give a shit that they're forking out to watch 3 guys play a few mixed CD's. that's fuckin criminal. Like they arent playing dnb or hip hop where turntablism and the technical side of mixing would be suitable or appreciated by the audience. I 100% don't agree with anything premixed other than bootlegs or samples, that said too many artists claim to be doing 'live shows' when all they are doing is starting auto synced clips on ableton anyway. Like in deadmau5's recent article it is hard to draw the line between producers and djs, people go to their shows to hear their big songs and other new/crazy songs they would expect to hear. If i were to choose between SHM and sneak performing, SHM's would be more interesting (again genre aside) as even if its premixed i would rather see that than average mixing. But yeah still against premixed but i feel big acts like shm are more about the whole show and not just the technical mixing.
