  1. well Pro Tools is a DAW so will be able to do basically anything FL live or logic will be able to do i think its just the way its layed out compared to other daw's like FL which is the Major diffrence. all yu need to sample a track and make your own track/remix from it is a Sampler (you can use audacity for this if Pro Tools does not have its own built in sampler. although ive had no experience with pro tools, i found Fl great to understand as a noob. and as you said FL isnt rated in the dance music world, tbh i think its a load of shit. i mean sure its not as professional as others. but if people like laidback luke can produce the music he does in it, that alone shuold be enough to shut the mouths of the nay sayers and as for the synthesizers there is plenty of legal free synth's around that are great to use for make basslines!
  2. like what youve done but the vocals kill it. kill the vocals as it drops and id dig it but with the vocals playing for the majority of the track i find it hard to listen to . make a (nightblind vocal shop edit) with no vocals on the drop's, or maybe a little chop thrown in every now and then production wise top stuff man
  3. yeah man you dont need all that shit now. firstly choose your program nd just learn it well. later on when you know what your doing, start incorporating other things into your production. midi keyboard is not needed. ive been producing for close to 3 years and have never needed one nor bought one. Fl studio is genreally easier to learn in, but ableton is better quality.....just to be breif on that subject. and as tomy said do NOT go in expecting to make a song straight away, it will just frustrate you and youll feel like giving up, go in with the state of mind you want to learn about the DAW, what this button does, how to do this, because to make a song you need to understand everything inside the Daw...well most of it anyway

  7. see what your supposed to do when that happens is say 'everytime someone listens to G6, a young african kid dies' god i hate that track you could try scratching it in? or put the pitch control to Wide and slow the track all the way down till its not playing and just start the new one. e.g id slow a track all the way down the drop hide n seek afrojack remix with the vocals at the start Word, i fucking hate it 2, but i just used it as an example cause i get asked to play it every 20 minutes at party's yeha man being a mobile dj i can only imagine the stuff you get asked to play, does your head in sometimes i guess? another way to do this is to practise before hand, fast forward to the beat get it going at the same tempo, dont touch the pitch after that, go back to the start and cue it acordingly, as hard as it may seem, singing is sung in time with the beat, so youll be able to tell if its going out or not, youll notice certain emphasis's in the sung word will land on certain beats(if you count in your head)

  14. Ok thought id make a thread to discus what we think the rules should be. Here are a few -Track should be between 2-5 minutes? this will save room on the adjf soundcloud. -All entries should be kept anonymous untill the winner is anounced. -You may only use the samples provided, no outsourcing? -must be willing to provide a sample pack if you win -samplepack must provide:Drum hits, Leads, Bass, Sweep effects, Stabs, Vocal hook? -Track must be made with in the genre/genre's specified by the previous comp winner to the best of your ability anyone want to add some more or change what ive already got if yall dont agree with em, they just suggestions
  15. shuld be able to have around 2 hours worth of uploads for a free one, thats around 20ish tracks, shuld be enough shouldnt it?
  16. just going off a few dsf rules. how about to those that enter, all mix's get sent to Cupe and he puts them on adjf soucloud as a set names (entry 1, entry 2, entry 3) so that the people who did them are all kept secret untill a winner is anounced? will add a bit of a surprise
  17. i think a main rule should be you can only use the samples povided and nothing else, so everyone has to work with the same stuff, will truely make a good competition then well tomy seeing as you got te first pack, what is the genre's?
  18. cant get sued if its free right?
  19. hahahaha, i plan on playing it once fully finished. ive played a mash with those vocals over another dubstep track my mate did, wernt any fights btu the crowd got looooose haha

  21. ok well a little closer to finishment and before you critique it ill just point out a few things i already know. the intro vocals sound out, its just the way they are in the original, but im gonna chop and stretch it so they are sweet. same goes with the bit of rapping, im also going to start putting some of my dubstep under my duo name.....want to push that name as much as i can so may as well put some dubby under it. yeah man nero is pretty sick, he dosent really do any of that hard hitting twisted bass stuff, alot of his evoke emotions and have a kind of chilled ness about them. look up his remix of blinded by the lights - the streets so sick
  24. yeah i guess that would be cool how would we decide on it though?
