  1. More cables than you can possibly imagine (Am an AV tech remember). My Dj Pioneer mixer is currently plugged into a 12 channel Behringer mixing desk that ouputs to the amp. All we need do is plug the 'fiends' mixer into the same Behringer desk (via my 5m RCA, or XLR if we can be bothered) and easily mix between both setups. Bottle of champers to the person who can mix simultaneoulsy between the 4 turntables and the 2 CDJs! If someone wants to bring their controller, we can also plug that into the Behringer desk and mix between all the things! \:D/
  2. Greetings! (I remember when I was 34....sigh.)
  3. Sounds good to me so I'll I'll book it in. Start spreading the word to the WA massive. Wonder if Cupe is able to E-mail and invite to the WA memebers?
  4. Hey Guys...I have a major event on the 4th. After having a look at the calendar, the only Sundays I have free (or will be in town) are Oct 28th and Nov 25th in the next six weeks.
  5. I love em. I keep thinking about Dennis and how the new generation of mobile DJ's must be driving him bonkers!
  6. Pretty much any RGB LED fixture. A trick Is to put it under the table on the ground bounce the light off the underside of the table/trestle. That way you have a much more even spread of light over the screens. More or less like a photographers light box.
  7. The Ultimate Seduction
  8. Or spelling... Or how to rotate an image (not good for s digital Dj)... Girly pics on laptop is a nice touch =D>
  9. One of my favourite mixes recorded off JJJs Saturday night 'Mix Up'. Quality isnt great (taken from a cassette) but the tunes are. Oaky as his best... http://soundcloud.com/sourceraver/paul-okenfold-aug-99-home
  10. Been pimpin the studio for the ADJF massive: Now has projector for lighting show.
  11. See how we feel on the day about the Aviary. You guys might be having too much fun at my place to care Forgot to mention start time is 14:00 but get here when you can. Oh yeah! When you arrive call me Kingsley, my real name, and pretend we have been friends for a while (technically we have). I'm a bit worried the boss might freak out if I said I was inviting a bunch of random people over who I met on the Inerwebz. Kinda ironic given that I met her on the internet... ...and dont forget your ADJF apparel for a group photo!
  12. Atractions include: Open decks sessions on Technicss 1210s, CDJ400s and Traktor Scratch A6 DVS (controllerists feel free to BYO) Open 'Bin' session on the Bass Bin (it will blow your mind!) Open BBQ sessions on the 'plates of steel'...salad and bread provided, BYO meat. Tour of the 'Next Door Project' (maybe a ADJF mix?) Massive 40mW laser light display and visualisations Skype session with Cupe (TBC) Coupla cartons of beer...something European or Mexican. Bitches love Mexican! Relaxed dress code (Yes...you can wear shorts or phat pants) Kick on to the Aviary afterwards for a true Sunday session (maybe not in shorts or phats) Djs already playing: Spitfire (Handbag House) Oxykon (the artist formally known as Defkon...Fluid Bass & Drum) YSM (Moombahtripdubcore) Source Raver (Uplifting Industrial) WRX Fiend (Progressive Whale Song) Location is a 5 minute walk from Meltham station in Bayswater. Meltham is a 15 minute train ride from the city. PM me for address, other details and to let me know who to expect. Partners welcome but no randoms please...lets just keep it in the family.
  13. Visuals are three different visualization programs from Sound Spectrum: Aeon White Cap G-force All respond to sound (mic or sound card) and a demo of each can be downloaded for free from the Sound Spectrum website.
  14. Gonna pick up a Traktor Scratch A6 on the weekend as my Final Scratch (the very first DVS ever made) has finally died. Everyone just needs to bring USB's (two for those who want to use the CDj 400s). I'll post another thread soon to promo the meet so anyone interested just needs to PM me for catering purposes. Feel free to spread the word to other WA ADJF members. Partners are welcome (well...) but I would prefer it we kept it in the family so to speak. (Pic of man cave to wet your appetite...)
  15. Can I suggest: "Hi i'm Kris...and im ready to hire for your next function!" You also have some great gear, so set it up one day and get some good photos of it. Also get a good photo of your face. The photo of your back doesnt really inspire confidence. Maybe think about paying a photographer and getting some good promo images for the web site (like you pheonix one).
  16. I'm gonna have a crack at this one! Bugger the massive pay drop...I can talk DJ stuff all day (13 years working in the retail industry might also help). Wonder if Cupe will let me add him as an 'industry' reference?
  17. Made these for my monthly club night...
  18. Yeah I was thinking 'Sunday Session' from 2 onwards. Drop by, have a few beers and a mix,you can wonder if the family can do without you and then at some point we catch the train to the city and check out the Aviary.
  19. First!
  20. How about Sunday 14th at the 'Next Door Project' for a Sunday session? I'll fire up the BBQ and open up the 'man cave' for the ADJF massive. Atractions include: Open decks on Technicss TTs and CDJ400s. Controllerists can BYO. Open 'bin session' on the Bass Bin Tour of the next door project (maybe a ADJF mix?) Kick on to the Aviary afterwards Skype session with Cupe (TBC) Location is a 5 minute walk from Meltham station in Bayswater. Meltham is a 15 minute train ride from the city. If enough wales are intersted, I'll book it in.
  21. Gawd...what a trerrible ad!
  22. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/north-pe ... 1007275946 Some kind of 'sausage fest' perhaps? (I think they meant 'pro bono')
  23. Grab a Behringer UCA 202 for an easy fix. May still need to mute microphone otherwise may record both line level signal in and room noise.
  24. When I hear a perfect mix I always wonder what equipment was used (ie software vs software). If hear a couple of mistakes I know straight way someone is doing it on decks and I have a lot more respect for the Dj. Keep the mistakes in mix and 'keep it real'.
  25. 'sub clinical dose'
