  1. I agree with Sol. Good solid steel construction and the uprights can be used independently as T bars.
  2. I like the term EDM. I remember when the only genre of EDM was 'techno' (even though Acid House had already been kicking arround for a few years). I still find it funny today when people call it techno. They still dont realise techno is now only one of a gazillion different genres. I've witnessed a few EDM haters suddenly realise what its all about (usually with the help of a few party favourites).
  3. Sounds like something is happening in the background. Make sure your computer is trying to do something else like looking for a wirleless network etc Does it happen when you try and load the same music file? Does it happen when you turn something on and off in the room (ie power issue). Keep experimenting and see if you can identify what it it may be that causes it to crash. The other option is to take the controller to the seller back and swap it for another.
  4. Did the controller work at all, or did it just stop working after a while?
  5. Some devices will allow you to switch between 110v and 240v so all that's needed is a cable swap. If not then you'll need a step down transformer. Best to download and read the user manual before buying.
  6. Have you got the Mic/Aux switch on the rear of the mixer switched to Mic?
  7. Oh yeah download the trance around the world podcast to hear all the latest tunes.
  8. Anjunabeats is where it's at. For more progressive sounds and a bit of trance crossover check out anjunadeep. I love the up tempo trance that just isn't quite hard trance (I call it big room trance) so produce some more of that please!
  9. DJM700 doesnt have digital inputs, Just RCA.

  12. Yeah...used to be given away or sold cheaply to other folks in the industry. Now it's just used as another ruse to try and sell as many tickets as possible before the event.
  13. Sounds like a dodgy cable. Just as a quick experiment plug your headphones into the microphone jack of the mixer. Talk into one of the cups and see if you get a signal from the speakers (Yes...you can use headphones as a mic like this). If you do get a signal then its definatley a dodgy cord or mic.
  14. Congrats man. Those acid house synth sounds really take me back. Stakker humanoid would have been one the first songs I ever heard in a night club.
  15. What kind of mic? Some need a battery or phantom power to work (ie condenser mic).
  16. Nah...Saturday nights. Next one on the 21st.

  18. Sounds like you dodged a bullet with one one...good on ya!
  19. This same scenario but a 21st held on the night of the footy grand final. More security, bar staff and Djs than family and friends. Birthday girl decides to come up to us (eyes rolling around in the back of her head) saying "she wasn't feeling it". Neither were we.
  20. My gut feeling is that at low volume these things probably wouldnt even reproduce the music properly unless someone has EQ'ed them separately from the main FOH mix.
  21. To be honest I think your friends lights are way too bright for that location. They look like search lights. I think yours are perfect for that spot cause they look great moving arround and if the Dj cops one in the face it isnt going to ruin his vision.
