  1. But they were an industrial band, not electronic what i mean is alot of rock and metal bands have electro versions of some of their songs released all the time sometimes with the original album too most of the time they sound like shit but just saying, OP isn't something new
  2. harder styled 'bands' always seem to have electronic versions of their songs though even rammstein has some gay versions (eskimos and egypt or whatver it is) so this isn't new

  16. Apple is discontinuing sales of its Logic Studio and Logic Express digital audio workstation packages "effective immediately," according to a notice sent to authorized resellers on Thursday. Updated versions of the Logic Pro 9 app and the live-performance app MainStage 2, previously both part of the Logic Studio suite, are now available separately via the Mac App Store for significantly lower prices. Simplifying its software offerings in the transition, Apple is putting the kibosh on the lower-cost Logic Express and sending Soundtrack Pro into the great hard drive in the sky. A rumor from September suggested that Apple was making progress on a new version of Logic Pro dubbed "Logic Pro X." As MacRumors noted, however, the notice released Thursday referenced "new" versions of Logic Pro 9 and MainStage 2. Those versions appeared in the Mac App Store on Thursday afternoon, with Logic Pro 9.1.6 available for $199.99 and MainStage 2.2 now selling separately for just $29.99. It's worth noting that buying either app from the Mac App Store includes download access to the complete library of Apple Loops, sampled software instruments, and Audio Unit effects. That content, which was previously sold separately to Logic Express users as various Jam Packs and other add-ons, previously cost over $600. Since Logic Express sold for $199 but didn't include the extra content that was bundled with Logic Studio, it is effectively replaced with Logic Pro. (When Apple released the controversial update to its professional video editing software, it dropped the prosumer Final Cut Express as well.) Logic Pro 9.1.6 is also a free update to all existing Logic Pro 9 users, and is available via Software Update. However, Apple says that MainStage 2.2 is a "feature upgrade" and therefore requires separate purchase via the Mac App Store. The updated features primarily revolve around an updated UI optimized for stage use, enhanced MIDI control, and support for auto-assignment of additional MIDI devices, but if you want those features and future upgrades, it's going to cost you $30. Compresser, previously included in Logic Studio, is already available as a separate download from the Mac App Store. However, fans of Soundtrack Pro—designed to create background music and sound effects for Final Cut Pro projects—may be disappointed to learn that the app won't be coming to the Mac App Store. (It didn't make the cut in the transition from Final Cut Studio to Final Cut Pro X, either.) On the upside, its functionality is already included in Final Cut Pro X, and can in some cases be replaced by features added to GarageBand or Logic Pro itself. For the time being, Logic Studio is still available from Apple's online store for $499, and resellers will likely be able to sell through existing inventories while supplies last.
  17. Where did the name come from? Well it was something I came up with about 1 year ago. It consists of three parts, “d” as in a Class D or Monoblock amps, It was also a component to my first sound system in my car which absolutely pumped and sealed my love for bass. The “flux” , as in the fluctuation that sound has when it’s played in different notes and finally “4” as this was the day I was born and my favourite nuber. All up it makes dflux4 (btw this has nothing to do with deadmau5 it’s just a coincidence). How long have you been playing & how did it all begin; What factors came together for you to take an interest in DJ'ing/Producing? I have been playing for about 6 months; I have always had an ear for music but never the influence around me to start DJ’ing. When I was in school I was always the one to burn CD’s and bring the music for the parties, I even played around for a bit on Virtual DJ but it didn’t appeal to me at the time. About 7 months ago I met my mate Kraver DJ, he only lives around the corner from mine which gave me the opportunity to learn how to DJ that was convenient and meant I didn’t have to fork out a heap of cash at the start. From there it just felt like it fit, I had someone to learn off and a willingness to learn. What do you spin? How would you describe your sound and what sort of style/DJ's influence you? Electro would be my genre of choice, I started off mixing hardstyle but with electro it’s like I just get it. Even if it’s a song I haven’t heard I feel as though I know the structure before I hear it. Plus it makes me feel good which is a massive thing to me with music. Anything with a grinding sound is what really catches my ear, the dirtier the better with electro but I'm all for house and a little bit of dub as well (who isn’t at the moment, so many aspects of dub making its way into nearly every genre.) I have always loved the sound that deadmau5 has made, from the moment I heard the reward is cheese I was hooked. The list can go on for influences and style but in a few names it would be; deadmau5, Justice, Toxic Avenger, Wolfgang Gartner and Feed Me. What are your weapons of choice? Well at the moment I have some Reloop RMP-2’s and a Numark M4 mixer. I found this gear at a price that suited my budget at the time. I will be looking at purchasing some monitors speakers as my 10 year old Sony 5.1 surround sound system doesn’t seem to cut it If I could have anything I'm sure most would be with me one this one, CDJ2000’s and a DJM800 with a laptop hooked up. If you could change 1 thing along your way up to where you are now, what would it be and why? I think It would have been to get into it at an earlier age. There was so much time I could have been producing or mixing when I wasn’t, but that doesn’t bother me too much as I have started now anyway. If you could put yourself as the resident DJ in any scene, where would you choose and why? I would want to be resident DJ in America; to me the music scene in Australia is limited by so much. Sound production, venues and even the crowds.... A lot of the people that go to festivals/clubs in Australia don’t go for the music, they go for the scene. Sometimes they don’t even know who is performing... WTF! My experiences in America have showed me that they really love the music over there, its shows with their presence in the crowd, the extents of their productions and the overall vibe of their festivals. If I was to pick a club it would be LIV which is in Miami, consistently has the best EDM DJ’s in the world performing there. For a festival it would have to be Electric Zoo in New York, if you haven’t heard of it google that shit! What other Australian DJ's/Producers do you rate? There are quite a few that I rate, from all different genres too. Victor Lopez, TyDi, Toneshifterz, Bombs Away, Tommt Trash, Dirty South, Bio Weapon and Bag Raiders to name a few.. What was the first album you ever bought? Haha I like this question.. I remember it like it was yesterday, I had opened up a back account only the week before. I went to Fox studios with a mate and by chance found this group that I had heard on a community radio station 99.9 Flava fm. I got to use my brand new bank card for the first time, and as the CD was an import it cost something like $34.99 in '2000'. The group was called Profyle and the album was called Nothin' but Drama. I actually still have the CD till this day. Album consists of your typical RnB slow jam love songs mixed in with a few catchy bangers... I think my favourite track on the album was No Trickin’ Cheers dflux4!
