Disclosure has been hard at work following their one-year hiatus announced in 2017. The successful release of “Ultimatum” marked their return earlier this year, and two new tracks, “Moonlight” and “Where Angels Fear To Tread” follow. “Moonlight” is filled with the familiar house rhythm Disclosure is known for, but is matched with a retro 1950’s beat that leaves listeners in a trance. Exploring new production technique and different sounds, the new release showcases a slower tempo and more classic feel that what we’ve previously heard. “Moonlight was written and arranged at Guy’s house, sampling Swedish acapella group ‘The Real Group’s’ cover of the classic ‘When I Fall In Love,'” stated a press release from the duo. “We wanted to bring some Disclosure deep house chords and bass-lines to the forefront…” “Where Angels Fear To Tread” was released exactly 24 hours later. This song uses another sample from a different popular song from the 1940s, “Fools Rush In.” The song has a more jazzy feel to it with a more pronounced use of vocals than “Moonlight,” with a significantly more whimsical vibe. Brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence are the heart of Disclosure and after taking some needed resting time they are back in the studio making magic. The two new singles follow their second album Caracal, released in 2015. Caracal was packed full of chart hitting electro R&B with features from pop legends such as The Weeknd, Sam Smith, and Miguel. The project was a major success but have recently been focused on writing and recording their third studio album, getting back to their roots. The two new tracks leave us with a taste of what’s to come, although no new album has been announced nor any live shows planned in the near future. The duo announced earlier this year they will not be hosting Wild Life festival in 2018. The event has been held every year since 2015, but fans can plan for a “bigger and better” return in 2019. Give both songs a listen below. This article was first published on Your EDM. Source: Disclosure Unveils Two New Tracks, “Moonlight” & “Where Angels Fear To Tread” Source

Earlier this month, Shaun Weiss — the actor known as Goldberg from The Mighty Ducks franchise — was arrested for public intoxication. Although he spent a few hours in police custody, he was set free and with no formal charge on his record. Now Weiss, in an attempt to turn his life around, has just announced he will be entering rehab for his problems, as TMZ points out. “At this time, in an effort to break free from the self destructive patterns of behavior and drug abuse that have landed me at rock bottom, (to be real… BELOW rock bottom. Even rock bottom is like ‘holy sh!t, how’d you get all the way down there?’) I have checked in to a well regarded, long term rehabilitation center,” Weiss wrote in a lengthy, and at times humorous, message posted on Facebook. “I have surrendered to the reality that without immediate treatment my life is in eminant danger,” he added, recognizing the grave impact of his bad habits. “My spirit was until recently depleted, weak and shrouded by darkness has been renewedby the overwhelming out-pouring of love and support from fans of my early work as an actor.” The 38-year-old Weiss also took the time to express his gratitude for the outpouring of support he’s gotten from Ducks fans far and wide: “I hear stories about how much Heavyweights or the Ducks movies impacted their lives or helped them through hard times or just made them laugh over and over. Such a testament to all the blood, sweat and tears everybody put into those flicks during that magical time over 20 years ago. Please believe how medicinal these personal exchanges are for me. Even if you think I’m the knuckle-puck guy or the fat kid from ‘Hook’. In the midst of my most challenging times your support is giving me the strength I need to embark down the long road to recovery.” In further thanking his supporters, Weiss managed to slip in a silly reference to the Ducks’ secret weapon on the ice: “(Self…please, DO NOT type the next line)” before writing this, “Guys, you ARE the wind beneath my wings. (OMG… you went there. A flying V/ Duck refference ON TOP of a throw-back to classic Bette Midler?… you promised you’d be sober when you wrote this…).” Read the full post below. Source

As if we weren’t excited enough for Mid90s, Jonah Hill’s dip into the skateboarding culture of a ’90s-era LA, it’s now been revealed that the Golden Globe-winning duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will be helming the score. Reznor and Ross, who previously scored the likes of The Social Network and Gone Girl, are a perfect fit, as Nine Inch Nails and Reznor, in particular, informed so much in terms of the era’s aesthetics. Mid90s, which was written and directed by Hill, stars Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges, and Katherine Waterston. It opens on October 19th, though it’ll enjoy its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where we’ll be on the ground come September 6th. Revisit the movie’s trailer below. Reznor and Ross are also set to score Waves, a new “dramatic musical” from Trey Edward Shults (It Comes At Night, Krisha). Source

It’s often said: write about what you know. Well, Limp Bizkit know a thing or two about breaking stuff, and they experienced it firsthand when a “jacuzzi amount of water” literally broke through the roof and onto the stage as they were launching into “Break Stuff” toward the end of their recent set at the Boomtown Fair in Winchester, England. Apparently, there were heavy rains in the area leading up to the gig, and fan-filmed video captured the moment the water poured through the roof and onto guitarist Wes Borland’s equipment. Limp Bizkit continued to play “Break Stuff”, but Borland’s pedalboard blew out shortly thereafter. The guitarist then proceeded to knock over his equipment out of frustration and walked off the stage, as the band ended its set one song earlier than planned. Frontman Fred Durst then addressed the crowd, saying, “Unfortunately, the guitar rig just blew up. On that note, I’d like to say how grateful I am because tonight genuinely was f–king incredible. Thank you so much.” Following the show, Borland took to Instagram to show the damage to his pedalboard, saying, “This is what a pedalboard looks like when it rains all day and the ceiling of the stage you’re playing breaks open and a jacuzzi amount of water gets dumped on top of you on the second to last song of your set.” The next day, Borland had some better news to report, saying, “We fixed my pedalboard today. 2 days of letting everything dry out and massive rewiring and problem solving with @kadaver13 who is my hero right now. My looper pedal is gone and half of my power (we’re using batteries tonight) but my rig is on the way to recovery.” Source

Stefán Karl Stefánsson, best known for playing the villainous Robbie Rotten on the Icelandic children’s show LazyTown, has tragically died after a long battle with cancer. A spokesperson for Stefánsson’s family has informed TMZ that the actor passed on Tuesday, surrounded by friends and family. Prior to his death, Stefánsson battled bile duct cancer for two years. Playing Robbie Rotten for ten years on LazyTown, Stefánsson garnered a significant fan following – not just from Icelandic children who watched the popular kid’s program, but from the memes that popped up around his LazyTown song “We Are Number One”. A deeply silly, over the top ska song in which Robbie teaches his dim-witted clones to be “a villain number one,” while chasing the fitness-themed superhero Sportacus, “We Are Number One” became a massive Internet meme, with parodies flooding Youtube in the ensuing months. Heartwarmingly enough, the memes started as part of a GoFundMe campaign in 2016 to help Stefánsson and his family with medical expenses after he made his diagnosis public. The meme took off from there, however, with dozens of parodies of “We Are Number One” accruing millions of hits. Stefánsson himself paid homage by singing the song live with his fellow LazyTown actors a few months later: Unfortunately, despite announcing a more positive prognosis in 2017, Stefánsson’s cancer was diagnosed inoperable in March of 2018, and he chose to go off chemotherapy a month later. Stefánsson said in a March statement about his diagnosis, “It’s not until they tell you you’re going to die soon that you realize how short life is. Time is the most valuable thing in life because it never comes back. And whether you spend it in the arms of a loved one or alone in a prison-cell, life is what you make of it. Dream big.” For his grateful fanbase, and everyone who’s laughed at a goofy Robbie Rotten meme, he’ll always be number one. Stefánsson is survived by his wife and four children. Source

Earlier this morning, a plane carrying 16 passengers took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey headed to London. Upon takeoff, the plane blew two of its tires and began circling in the air, requesting permission to make an emergency landing at an Orange County, New York airport. One of the plane’s passengers is reportedly Post Malone, whose presence aboard the aircraft has made the news a national hot topic. The plane circled in the air above the airport for nearly 3 hours in an effort to burn excess fuel before landing. The pilot had zero issues landing the plane safely and everyone is expected to deboard with no injuries. This article was first published on Your EDM. Origins is a recurring new music feature in which we provide an artist the chance to take a deep dive into the inspirations behind their latest song. Despite the success of the band’s 2011 album, 100 Lovers, and subsequent tour, DeVotchKa’s Nick Urata was left unsure of his ability to keep the ensemble project going. It wasn’t his film composing career that was getting in the way, either, despite jobs scoring things like Crazy Stupid Love, Paddington, and Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. No, it was a distinct loss of motivation, one that stemmed from a disconnect from the intimacy of the indie band. It wasn’t until DeVotchKa returned to smaller venues that Urata found his spark of inspiration once again, there in the voices singing his poetic lyrics back to him. Though he still had to fight through writer’s block and self-doubt, he eventually found his way to putting together DeVotchKa’s first new album in six years, The Night Falls Forever. Coming August 24th via Concord Recods, The Night Falls Forever finds Urata and the band as ambitious as ever, something demonstrated on the new single “Empty Vessels”. The indie track remains sturdy even as it tumbles through endless spirals of orchestration like a dream through the early breaking daylight. “This song is an ode to those nights that end up shaping who we are,” Urata tells Consequence of Sound. “You never see them coming and you are never prepared, but they change your life.” Take a listen below. For a deeper insight into the stories behind the poetry of “Empty Vessels”, Urata has shared the song’s Origins. Find out more about lines like “My pages on the floor” and “Tiptoe past the graveyard” below. “Tiptoe past the graveyard:” “This is the actual cemetery I grew up next to.” I grew up next to a graveyard so I was never scared of it. In fact I thought it was the most beautiful place in town. The space between numbers on the stones, sometimes big and sometimes tragically small, some of them were too old to read anymore. Imagine that. My dad always taught us to be respectful and not tread on the graves, but of course when we got older we would sneak in at night and lay with our backs against them. It was there my beloved grandparents who taught me music are buried. It was there I wrote my first verse and I never stopped. I figured if I end up there I would always be happy. So in that sense we do have all the time in the world… The Bicycle Thief: I can’t remember why I stumbled into the public library that night but they were showing The Bicycle Thief. I didn’t know at the time that it’s considered one of the greatest movies of all time. I just knew what it was like to desperately need a job and to be Italian, so I was hooked. A few nights later I was at a party and the girl I’m in love with needed a ride home. I was too poor to have a car but I had my trusty bike and I stepped up to helpI made a wobbly push off the curb with her on the handle bars. At that moment I thought of Antonio from the film, riding with a ladder over his shoulder, and it gave me super human strength. If he could do this on cobblestones, and support a family in post war Rome, I could surely get this girl safely to her house. “My pages on the floor:” The Traffic and the Universe seemed to sense what was at stake that night. They whisked us along without incident, I weaved in and out of cars and didn’t even hit a red light. Emboldened by heroic cycling skills, I asked her to read my poems. I had never shown them to another soul. I knew they were probably awful but I knew she was the one I had been writing for this whole time. I can still see her sitting with my pages spread across her bedroom floor. I can still feel the agony as I waited for the verdict. I guess I’m here today because after what seemed like hours she said, “You wrote these?” Paris: That night I rode home feeling like a poet from the 19th century. I was by myself but I knew from that day on I would never be alone. I had never been to Paris, but I was sure this is what it felt like. Source

Joan Jett is speaking out on behalf of Bosco, a 23-year-old bear confined to a barren patch of concrete at Pennsylvania’s Pymatuning Deer Park. In a letter sent to Rachelle Sankey, the park’s owner, the punk rocker is asking that the bear be moved to a “comfortable, reputable sanctuary” where he can “enjoy extensive space, independence, and the veterinary care that he so obviously deserves.” PETA has offered to handle the costs and logistics of Bosco’s transfer, so long as Pymatuning Deer Park is willing to cooperate. A press release from the animal rights organization notes that the bear is showing signs of arthritis, while Jett points out that the facility’s only other bear died last year, leaving Bosco without “the comfort of a companion.” “Bears are sophisticated, playful animals who thrive when given space and freedom to run, dig, and swim far from human activity,” Jett writes. “But at this roadside zoo, Bosco is denied everything that’s natural and important to him and condemned to a life surrounded by stone walls and gawking tourists.” Read Jett’s full letter below: Dear Ms. Sankey, With each decision I’ve faced in my career, I’ve counted on my instincts to make the right choice. After learning about Bosco the bear, those same instincts told me to take action. I’m writing to you today to ask that you trust your own gut, recognize that he has no business living alone in a concrete pit, and allow PETA to place him in a reputable sanctuary. Unlike you and me, Bosco can’t follow his instincts while he’s at Pymatuning. Bears are sophisticated, playful animals who thrive when given space and freedom to run, dig, and swim far from human activity. But at this roadside zoo, Bosco is denied everything that’s natural and important to him and condemned to a life surrounded by stone walls and gawking tourists. After the death of the facility’s only other bear last year, he doesn’t even have the comfort of a companion. At over 20 years old, he’s especially prone to injury in these dangerous conditions and likely experiencing physical and psychological distress already. Please, allow him to live his remaining years with dignity at a reputable sanctuary, where he could enjoy extensive space, independence, and the veterinary care that he so obviously deserves. My friends at PETA are offering to facilitate Bosco’s transfer and pay any associated costs. Take a lesson from me: Listen to your instincts, and please give him a life in which he can follow his. Nicki Minaj hasn’t held back from speaking her mind, especially in the weeks since dropping her Queen album. However, her latest stunt takes tone-deafness to a whole new level, as Minaj just compared herself to historic abolitionist and political activist Harriet Tubman. Following yesterday’s initial tweet storm in which she blasted Travis Scott and Spotify for Queen’s No. 2 debut on the Billboard charts, Minaj returned to Twitter to give herself and her album a major ego boost. “All the QUEENS I remember, SHOOK SHIT UP!!!!!!!!” she wrote. “Queen of the week may go to HARRIET TUBMAN!!!!!! Had she just sat there & ate her rice, you niggaz history would’ve been a lot less triumphant,” the MC continued, while throwing her name in the same conversation as Tubman. Minaj immediately received backlash for the comments, yet she held fast to her comparison. In a subsequent tweet, Minaj likened Tubman’s fight against slavery (using a quote often misattributed to Tubman) to her own battle against streaming services and the way streams are counted in the music charts. “She said she could’ve rescued more slaves had they known they were slaves,” Minaj wrote. “I fought for streaming services to count toward billboard when alotta niggz stayed quiet.” All the QUEENS I remember, SHOOK SHIT UP!!!!!!!! Queen of the week may go to HARRIET TUBMAN!!!!!! Had she just sat there & ate her rice, you niggaz history would’ve been a lot less triumphant. — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) August 20, 2018 Y’all I had no idea Harriet Tubman was now trending. I said what I said. #QueenRadio will honor her tmrw. She said she could’ve rescued more slaves had they known they were slaves. I fought for streaming services to count toward billboard when alotta niggz stayed quiet — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) August 20, 2018 Prior to performing on last night’s 2018 MTV VMAs, Minaj was interviewed by TMZ about the controversial Tubman comments. As if to clear up any confusion regarding her comparison, Minaj straight up told TMZ: “I am the new Harriet Tubman… I’m Harriet Tubman, leave me alone.” Watch that clip here. And that’s not all. On the latest edition of her Beats 1 show #QueenRadio, Minaj directly called out Travis Scott, whose Astroworld sits at the top of the charts, and flexed her skills to be the best in the world. As VLADtv points out: While on her show, she called Travis Scott the “hoe n***a of the week.” Nicki said, “Travis Scott wins Hoe N***a of the Week, by a landslide. He out here selling f**king clothes got y’all thinking he selling f**king music.” Along with that, Nicki went on to call herself the “greatest female rapper of all time.” Pitchfork has a better transcription of what Minaj said. “What we’re not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling fucking sweaters telling you he sold half a million albums, because he fucking didn’t. You stupid fuck,” Minaj said on #QueenRadio. “You got your fucking homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it. Knock it the fuck off.” Minaj continued to rail against Scott and the way his Billboard album sales were tallied up using merch. “When [Travis] comes along and sells a tour pass that has nothing to do with his fucking music and says he’s sold more than Kanye West and Nas — no you fucking didn’t, keep it the fuck real. I know I’m that bitch, I know I’m Number 1.” Source

After some cryptic teasing over the past week, Bring Me the Horizon unveiled the new single “Mantra” on BBC Radio 1 today (listen below). Prior to the track’s premiere, Bring Me the Horizon launched a mysterious campaign, including a billboard reading, “Do You Want to Start a Cult With Me?” That line turned out to be one of the lyrics in “Mantra”. As for releasing “Mantra” as their first taste of new music, singer Oli Sykes told BBC Radio 1, “It felt like the first thing we wanted to show people upon our return.” So, does the new song mean that fans can expect a new album from BMTH soon? “I don’t want to say,” said Sykes. “We’re definitely working on stuff. We got something exciting to announce in the next few days.” Bring Me the Horizon’s most recent album was 2015’s That’s the Spirit, which saw the UK metalcore band go in a more pop direction. Prior to that, the band released the critically acclaimed Sempiternal in 2013. “Mantra” definitely leans more toward That’s the Spirit than Sempiternal. Sykes did say the music they’re working on is “completely different” from That’s the Spirit, but that there are some similarities. He added, “We want to be a heavy band but not in the way you think of heavy.” As part of the aforementioned promotional campaign, the band also launched a website called joinmantra.org, which initially read, “There are those who will say that only after a lifetime of sacrifice and good doing can the soul be free – that God demands conditions in the freedom and that some have the power of making mankind slaves.” “Mantra” is available to purchase via various online outlets at this location. We’ve already heard plenty from Steve Angello and even Axwell on the reformation and future of Swedish House Mafia, but now Sebastian Ingrosso is speaking out, as well. Talking to Swedish publication Metro, Ingrosso discussed the reason for SHM’s return, and also confirms that they’re headed into the studio. When asked why, now, after five years, Ingrosso’s answer was relatively simple: “We felt it was time, and we missed it. And above all, we had fans who wanted us to reunite.” He also confirmed that the three members of Swedish House Mafia will be back in the studio after summer to “try to do something fun together.” However, one of the biggest bombshells of the interview is that their Axwell Λ Ingrosso project will be put on the back burner while they work on Swedish House Mafia. ” [We] will actually put it on the shelf. As I usually say, there are three dots, it’s not two plus a dot. But we will definitely still do our individual stuff.” Axwell Λ Ingrosso still have a number of shows planned through the end of 2018, but don’t expect to see them on any lineups next year. One of the decade’s most accomplished and acclaimed directors, J.J. Abrams, is getting into the music biz. The filmmaker’s Bad Robot production company has just announced a new independent music label called, fittingly, Loud Robot. Coming from a partnership with Capitol Music Group, the label will specialize in short-term projects with rising and more well-known musicians to release original music. Bad Robot will also utilize the label to place music in its own movies, TV shows, and video games. (Bad Robot Games, which is a partnership with China’s Tencent and sees Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment as a minority investor, was announced back in June.) Stepping in as co-general managers for the newly launched Loud Robot will be McKee Floyd and Nicky Berger. Floyd comes from Glassnote Entertainment Group, where she was head of marketing for a roster that included Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, and Childish Gambino, Berger, meanwhile, formed Berger Management in college when he began managing Grouplove. The company merged with two other mangers in 2016 under the Fort William Artist Management banner, putting together a roster including Grizzly Bear, War on Drugs, and Fleet Foxes. Also on board is Bad Robot’s current music division head Charles Scott, who’s served as music supervisor on productions like Star Trek, Roadies, and Castle Rock. Brian Weinstein will serve as Loud Robot’s president and COO. The Seattle Mariners designated last night’s game against the Houston Astros as Alice in Chains Night, in celebration of the band’s new album, Rainier Fog, which arrives this Friday. And it turns out guitarist-singer Jerry Cantrell got the night off to a splendid start by throwing a perfect strike for the honorary first pitch. As we reported leading into the game, the band’s hometown team hosted a special night that included a listening party, a free Alice in Chains t-shirt and a copy of the Rainier Fog CD. What wasn’t known at the time was Alice in Chains’ role in the festivities. All four members of the band were present, and all made their way to the mound at Safeco Field. Cantrell was rightfully given the honor of throwing out the first pitch, and put it right down the middle, unlike some other celebrity first pitches we’ve seen — 50 Cent, we’re talking to you! Prior to the first pitch, Cantrell and singer William DuVall were interviewed for the local TV broadcast, and Cantrell admitted he was more of a football fan, but still put his Mariners fandom at an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. He mentioned Mariners like Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr. as players the band got to hang out with over the years. Cantrell and company proved to be good luck for the Mariners, who scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat the Astros 7-4. Alice in Chains will continue their takeover of Seattle today with a performance on the rotating glass floor of the Space Needle, 500 feet above the ground. Check out the pre-game interview followed by the first pitch below. If you want to go right to the pitch, go to the 1:55 mark. Sullivan King has been bridging the gap between heavy metal music and EDM since his debut in 2014. The instrumentalist/producer creates groundbreaking music that brings the heavy energy of bass music together with the power of classic rock, giving all headbanging fans a run for their money. Just recently announced, fans across the globe will get to experience the legendary performance first hand. The Fight Back world tour is Sullivan King’s latest project and you can now buy tickets here. By the end of his debut year, he accumulated over 2.4 million plays worldwide. An impressive number during a time where producers are a dime a dozen. But his unique style is unlike any mainstream electronic music production we’ve heard. His passion for live music and concert arena vibes can be seen and felt during his performances. He puts on a phenomenal show that pushes the boundaries of your typical EDM set. Incorporating his own vocals and shredding his guitar live, the energy is unmatched. Watch a recap from Sullivan King’s HARD Summer 2018 set, get excited for the tour and read the full interview below. I wanted to start with a quick little background about you, how did you begin producing & where did your love for music originate from? Began producing in 2012 mainly just because I got introduced to dance music by going to rock festivals and there were DJs playing. Like Steve Aoki and what not. I was a big video gamer and EDM was always thrown into videos on YouTube and stuff like that. As far as getting into music, it wasn’t until I started playing guitar that I kind of started to unravel this sort of new world of just not only composing but writing, playing and what goes into making a song. I never really put any thought into that until picking up a guitar one day. I know you like to blend a lot of different genres, but is there anyone specific that gives you the most motivation? And what do you listen to when you’re not making music? 90% of what I listen to is absolutely metal and rock, or it’s super old stuff from the 60’s and 70’s like Aerosmith or the Rolling Stones. Everything nowadays which would be metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Underoath, I See Stars, and Nine Inch Nails that’s easily 85-90 % of what I listen to. I very rarely just sit down and listen to EDM, if I do it’s because someone put out an album and I want to see what it’s about. I think the last electronic record I listened to was the newest What So Not. That’s how I like to keep things fresh for myself instead of getting way too involved with what people are doing in EDM and then having to think, “I got to make something that sounds like this,” or “that sounds really dope what if I do something like that.” It just kind of keeps me in my own lane, which I like. I have to ask, what’s your favorite sushi in LA? There’s a couple of them- one is a place by my house called Bluefish, there’s only a couple of them in LA county area and they’re really really good. But then the place I go to a lot for more celebratory stuff is called Takami, which is on the 23rd store top floor of this place on Wilshire in Downtown. It just has a really awesome vibe with great food and drinks, it’s a great place to go out with some friends and stuff. I usually go with my wife and a couple good friends of mine every now and again, we’ll go celebrate just life being cool. Tell me about HARD summer, you came out with Kill the Snails during their set & played your guitar on stage, how was that? It was just so surreal. When I was playing it was kind of one of those moments where I was like, “alright I got to go play right now,” I ran up on stage and it just totally felt like time had just completely stopped. It was the weirdest thing ever being up on stage and playing a show for thousands of kids and being like, “Holy S***, I’m actually here playing Hard Summer.” This is something that I’ve dreamed about playing for so long. And obviously going up with this Kill the Noise and Snails was such an amazing opportunity that I was given by them, they are such awesome humble guys. It was one of those out of body experience moments, like woah, where everything stopped and it was just amazing… I can’t even put it into words, lets just put it like that. Not only do you play the guitar but you do a lot of your own vocals. Do you do any vocal training, and how do you not strain your voice when making different screaming sounds? I don’t know because I just don’t, I don’t really do any training. Over the years I’ve just kind of built up a tolerance to it, which I would say it’s kind of like a muscle in my opinion. And I could be completely wrong, anybody that’s trying to be a screamer or whatever, do not listen to me because I have no idea. I just kind of have gotten used to how I scream, I know what I do that will hurt my voice and I know what I can just do over and over for an hour and a half and everything will be fine. There are certain things that I’ll do before a show, I won’t be yelling across the stage or doing anything to strain it but for the most part, yeah, no training really and no practice that’s just it. What was your craziest moment while touring with Black Tiger Sex Machine? I’m not like a crazy person inside, so it’s kind of hard to say. Everyone’s super dope on that tour but I don’t really party or do anything. I kind of just like, you know, work and sleep. I don’t even remember the tour being that crazy, it’s just one long grind with lots of sleeping when you can and just chilling in the van with homies. So I would say it was a pretty chill tour. You’ve been working on some new collaborations recently, can you tell me a little about those? Yeah, I have a lot of collabs and stuff coming up. So there’s a few with Excision, one’s called “Wake Up,” which is a slightly more ballad-like track and it’s something we’re definitely proud of and put a lot of time into. There’s another one called “Fight For The Fame” which is just a straight up basher and mosh pit anthem kind of tune. Then the one with Grabbitz is “Show Stopper” which we’re in the middle of working on – it’s almost done, it’s just kind of a fun track. We sat down in my living room one day, we had just had an early dinner and I started messing around with this one beat, this weird hip-hop kind of vibe and he was like, “Yo, let me just rap on top of it.” And I was like, alright, go for it. In two minutes he wrote this little verse and hook, threw it on top, and that was it. Just built a song around it and the song was done in a couple hours. Is there anything else upcoming that fans can get excited about from you? We’ve got a ton of shows that we’re going to announce really soon. We’re going to be hitting a lot of different places in a lot of different countries, so there’s going to be a lot of overseas stuff which I’m really excited for. Musically, I’ve just been stockpiling what I consider to be my best work and stuff that I’ve been playing out that’s getting the best crowd reactions I’ve ever seen with my kind of songs. So between that, the collaborations, the Excision songs, Lost Lands coming up, and new merch. Pretty much just everything I get hit up about, we got coming. Lastly, is there anything you’d like to say to readers? Well, a big thank you to my favorite blog of all time, Your EDM of course. Thank you to you and to everybody on the team, and everybody that has always supported me. A big thank you to the fans obviously for supporting me and helping me get bigger as time goes on instead of just sitting in my lonesome making music on a laptop, and making that turn into a big ole’ dream.
