Parklife has just announced its 2018 line-up via a clever cartoon — and it’s looking insanely good. Not only has the Manchester-based festival managed to bag a headline performance from Liam Gallagher, the festival has also locked in performances from Justice, NERD, Bonobo and Eric Prydz. Elsewhere, the festival has secured the services of The Black Madonna, Bicep, Midland, Peggy Gou, Shanti Celeste, Honey Dijon and Nina Kraviz, too. The festival will be taking place 9th – 10th June at Heaton Park in Manchester, with tickets going on general sale from 9am this Thursday. https://parklife.uk.com The post Parklife announces huge 2018 line-up with Justice, Bonobo and N.E.R.D appeared first on HBF. I'll get around to this in a tick
-
Someone post an updated list and add @anditz to it
-
Hey man welcome! Feel free to post around but it looks like you're already getting the hang of the forum Hopefully you'll stick around.

Better get posting then cunt You're talking about escrow or some shit. Why not just leave the money in your bank account until you're ready to make a purchase? And of course you can credit your PayPal account idiet wtf is wrong with you
-
I'm not actually sure what you're asking. You want to be able to use the ADJF store as a holding account that accrues? It's just a PayPal gateway so I don't think it works like that. You'd be better off shifting money into your PayPal account bit by bit then checking out. You realise the ADJF Cash can be used towards purchases right?

Kavinsky hasn’t been heard from since he released his excellent SebastiAn-produced debut album, ‘OutRun’, back in 2013. To our knowledge he hasn’t released an original production, or remix for that matter since 2013, which is a little odd considering he was behind one of 2010’s biggest tracks ‘Nightcall’ where he teamed up with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Looking back, his debut album still stands the test of time, especially ‘Odd Look’ featuring The Weeknd, which for our money is far better than Daft Punk’s work with the Canadian singer. Anyway, Vincent Belorgey, the man behind the mask, is pretty active on Instagram where he shares a steady stream of 80s nostalgia — and that’s exactly where he’s teased his potential return. Captioning a press shot the French electro producer simply said: “I’ll Be Back” #2018 Obviously, this being Kavinsky it could just be a ruse and he’ll continue to live off that sweet, sweet ‘Nightcall’ royalty cheque. But hopefully it’s the former and 2018 brings us the long-awaited return of the Dead Cruiser. The post Kavinsky teases his return in 2018 appeared first on HBF. Source

HBF’s resident music tech aficionado James Trigo puts Sample Magic’s latest production offering KLIP through its paces. Klip is the latest in an ever growing array of plugins from sample creators Sample Magic. A production instrument with over 4000 samples and extensive parameter editing capabilities, I loaded it up to take the plunge. It doesn’t take long to realise that Klip is far more of a beast than Sample Magic’s previous plugins, conceding after about 10 minutes that I’d have to actually download the manual and watch some tutorial videos. Klip requires Kontakt Player to work, which is free and can be hosted in your own sequencer or stand alone. The main screen greets you with 16 pads, transport controls and a 32-step sequencer, each with a presets lane for it’s 16 parameters. There’s a wave form display to view the active sample/loop and a row of controls at the bottom for filters, of which there are 20 types. There’s distortion, velocity, pan settings and effect sends that make their way to a convolution reverb or delay. At first you may feel short changed as most of us are going to want get importing straight away but once you give in to the fact your not going to be loading in any of your own samples you can sit back and enjoy the copious amounts of high quality presets courtesy of Sample Magic’s extensive library. Ranging from 106s and 303s to House vocals and FX there’s plenty to choose from and no doubt Sample Magic will provide add-on packs in the future. Each pattern has up to 8 sequences that you can copy and paste to build up a track. There’s plenty of dynamic processing too, with compression, limiting, 3-band EQ and a transient shaper all on tap. Randomising is a large part of the fun with Klip, with just a control + click on a sequencer pattern or sample it will randomise this for you to keep things fresh, you can also switch the key of the sample or loop from minor to major depending on the feel your after and there’s 8 mixer channels that can be usefully assigned to it’s own output. Tinkering to your hearts content with the preset sequencer patterns is great fun but once you start adding effects and setting sequencer patterns you can start to create some really original loops. Adding Klip to your DAW and syncing tempo and key makes it a very useful tool to get some ideas moving, even if it’s just a simple sample or drum loop you’ve mangled within an each of it’s life Klip is a very powerful and versatile instrument that will probably find its way into your work flow. Currently on offer at £64.99 from https://www.samplemagic.com The post Review: Sample Magic’s latest offering KLIP deserves to be part of your DAW appeared first on HBF. Source

You may not have heard of Swedish singer songwriter Yota before but you’ll have certainly heard her music in some or another as she’s co-written tracks with everyone from John Acquaviva to Alax Braxe over the last decade or so. Striking out on her own, Jotta Hautanen is the brains behind the alias and has just released her debut album via Lifelike’s Computer Science imprint. In fact, Lifelike has had a hand in the album’s production and his signature velvety disco aesthetic is all over her new single, ‘Til The Night Fader Out’, which is taken from the her album, ‘The Night In Shining Armour’. Ostensibly a slice of electro pop, Lifelike adds a veneer of filtered French goodness thanks to his use of elongated filter sweeps, punchy percussion and rasping hooks. More of this, please. Make your own thread for this in the Buy & Sell - Stores section: https://www.ausdjforums.com/forum/14-buy-sell-stores/

I don't reckon. Everyone chips in and replies to all the new threads. The problem is getting faggots off shit social media. It's psychologically breaking humans so it's ruining the rest of the internet. There just needs to be incentive, and I've tried loads of different ones (most recent being forum cash). I just don't have the time and money to run marketing campaigns any more. Hoping I have more time in the new year. That is easy to do and we wouldn't even need permission. What we need is guys on those streams to plug the forum, but everyone wants money for just scratching their ass on cam these days Keep the ideas flowing tho. Need more. Need multi-brain.

Maybe a long shot, but annual hosting fees are up. Donations?

Thanks team. I pushed the due date by 2 weeks so I can get my next pay. Right now I'm literally in negative money. -
It's not cheap to make that kind of thing look expensive

The MEAT returns 2 melb
-
Mate this place will never ever go
-
@yizzle has also mentioned melb. obviously I don't care where. I made a roll call thread (below). If we do Melb are we just gonna get a inner city spot and try to get into clubs? Anditz plays at a dope fucking location and is a sick cunt so we could relive Trojan era meat on the techno floor. Lets make decisions and locate a boss pad. And mitch will line up shorts 16 months later
-
Respond in here adding your name to the list is you're achaly attending. @yizzle has also discussed changing the meat location to Melbourne. Thoughts? THE LIST: Cupe

You’d be hard pressed to find a French producer who hasn’t been inspired by Thomas Bangalter in some form or another. And that’s exactly what happened with Marseille-based duo Superfunk, who were a pretty big deal in their native France back in the ’90s thanks to the duo’s first album ‘Hold Up’, which featured guest spots from the like of Paul Johnson and Dimitri From Paris and sold a million copies, spawning a remaster edition (2000) and a remixes album (2011). Fast forward to 2017, and Stephane B & Mike 303 are still knocking out French house bombs as if it were still 2001. For their latest, the aptly named ‘Bangalter’ EP, the duo have found a new home of Lifelike’s Computer Science imprint for a new EP which features two originals and three remixes. The a-side, ‘Bangalter, is straight French touch fire, chockablock full of frenzied, looped samples and stocky kicks. The b-side, ‘Discoball’, is a bit more languorous and features velvety hooks and plenty of sweeping filters (secretly, it’s our favourite — just don’t tell T-bang). Remixes-wise, LifeLike produces our favourite, toughening up his version of ‘Bangalter’ so it slaps that bit more for a proper copper-bottomed cut of French house. Check out the whole EP below.
