and chev i just checked my st150 make sure the ground switch is on lifted (the one withe circle and line thru it). thinking about it when ya said your circles are a line, that means it must be hearing something else itd be a dot. so the line can indicate the audio 8 hearing a hum from wrong grounding. see if that can fix yer circles

also hobberz pops and clicks could be a latency issue. unplug any dongles and even turn off yer wireless card if you dont need it if you want to minimise your latency. there is no what is the best just what is bet for you so you have to play around with it. i run at 44100 hz and 4ms when using audio 8. but have to incease latency when using internal soundcard (which i only ever do when im crating or correcting bpms because the auto bpm is shyte outside of four/four dance)

loading 1.2.7 update will auto update your audio 8 driver. check what driver your audio 8 is on now then check downloads and make sure you are on the previous one.

bump for gandy. hey you already commented on this, well the tracklist anywho. this is my best recorded to date. prob still my best mixxx. really been trying to do hip hop the last few times but just cant get it down pat. even cheated and picked all songs with 88 to 92 bpm so itll be nice and easy to pitch them at 90 which i can do no sweat, but just finding the right spot (which seems to be like only 2 or 3 per song) and making the transition sound good is bloody hard. as i said in another thread all the examples i see are very minimal hip hop (kick, snare, hi hats and maybe a bass line) so cutting from one to the other works but some of the ones i have arent so minimal. might kick another bmore and breaks set tonight.

hey gandy im under soundcloud under eggssell. i kept f'ing up where to put mine but the last one is in Breaks. the last one was experimental as i tried new techniques like cutting, and having lyrics in all songs so not as good. the one before that i really liked. prob my best recorded mix. the one before that dont listen to it, in fact i might delete it tonight. it sucks dead doggs balls

yeah hardware on apple runs about 2 years behind. just look at processors and graphics cards, network protocols etc. they go for more reliability and stability, not new tech or power

wu huu just got my kondensor. it was a bday pres but only just got here cuz everyone was shut during holi's. man deceptively small. i was like no freaking way my old tank of a laptop is gonna fit in that, but then open it up and was like dammmn you can fit three lappys in there. which is good cuz the plan is to be able to fit my lappy and my mpd24 which it will do no sweat. dont think ill use it for my dj stuff much (though it will fit the vinyl time code and has a padded pack for the sound card and one for a hard drive) but basically i had been lugging my lappy and my hard drive around to mates places these days in an old backpack. using clothes or whatever to cover the hard drive (mines a desktopy one not a portable). so i gots one of these as has the hard drive packings!!!! plus means i can mess about with my music at lunch. feels sturdy as a mofo too http://www.monocase.com/mono-efx-kondensor.asp
