  1. for those that could have actually afforded brand new techies will likely go vestax. heaps of the big guys have been using em for a bit. and i would assume it woule be the same for installations, those that can afford will go vestax. for everyone else then it will be stantons. id say it already is.
  2. he he yeah i figured you were only half serial. like you despise the death of vinyl but dont really give a shyte what others do. i had juat watched an hour of the freestyler soul khan rip some new people an ass, as well as see dumbfounded get robbed in a canadian freestyle battle so came off a little hostile. heh heh. but yeah not being much of an audiophile and being heaps jn debt and having an unquenchable hunger for new music. cds and online work best for me.
  3. allows courier pick up. still 6 days to go but could be a bargain given they look in good nick http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2x-PIONEER-CDJ-1 ... 27b7be43a8
  4. going off in 7 hours. might be a bit pricey at $1K for that mixer. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT
  5. hey yella, you never mentioned where ya from. anywho posting up some cdj's in buys/ sell now. but again as i mentioned to ya i have limited experience inthe cdj world and not really across prices.
  6. pffft really? what difference does it make. plays the same. if i were to buy vinyl it would serve no purpose except for the look of it, and im not the appearance seeking type. im sure it prob does sound warmer on a good set of monitors that reproduce sound to exactly how the artist wanted it t sound. but on my stereo the mp3's and my old vinyl all sound the same. sure if i had some spare scratch and some spare time id hunt for some bargains, but really if i could pay $20 for the same release i can get for $5, in my present sitch id go the $5 anyday of the week. the only vinyl i would consider is shit i cant get, like a good old hiphop 12inch with the instrumental, acapella, dub mix and shep pettibone. i feel no shame in using whats available to me. guess what my car plays cds and has a button to roll down the windows, and i love it. do you feel ashamed creating music using software?
  7. which card is it? if old one quite possible it was only made to support the older processors.
  8. some turntablists having a smash on an S4 this was just a demo that someone brought in so they didnt own it.
  9. yeah mate recordstore is the place to go. there is also spank records around the corner from there. bit more pricier but can get a lot of newer stuff and wider genre range. commercial you can get from jb at galleries victoria. and there is a hip hop place on oxford. never been but one of the members pointed it out. i think it was called miguel records. online theirs htfr, junorecords and turntable lab from overseas. domestically there is rocking horse and a place in adelaide. crap cant remember the name. had clinic in the name i think. personally since buying traktor scratch ive only ever bought battle records. oh yeah and hit second hand book stores and st vincents and shyte.
  10. for a song everyone claims to hate whats with all the using it in remixes
  11. you wont need speakers if you have a stereo. or at worst a guitar amp or computer speakers (the latter being the worst of the 3 options). but yeah assuming you have sound options and some headphones then you can learn on the above kit.
  12. is it skipping on playing or when manipulating the vinyl for cuing or scratching? and have you adjusted the weight at the back as advised (you know put to zero then load as per your cartridge recommendation). yeah you shouldnt need the anti skate
  13. freaking awesome. brand new? or second hand
