  2. nice chev. need new slip mats though. he he
  3. its a modified vci 100. with the glow knobs and arcade buttons.
  4. tomy its meant to end 31 dec but i think the NI store is sold out already so aren't doing it anymore. i think dj city may still be doing it for $400 (well they were as of last week).
  5. at chatswood apple. its packed with kiddies so couldnt get to enuff machines and i forgot to turn the flash off so then security looked at me
  6. eminem - beautiful this was best track on relapse. ha ha and it was the only one not by dre. i think all the other tracks had awesome dre beats and crisp production, em just wasnt all there, and could get annoying (which isnt unusual thats why i only ever really love em posse tracks. d12 is tha shyte. and proof from d12 is one of the best rappers of all time.. of all time). but this one beats and em were all good.
  7. last one going off this w/e. another set of MkII's at about $1G. not much in the description. I assume the dude is a scratcher given the old 5 cents on the headshell trick. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT
  8. guy never came back with age but here 2 techs currently sitting at $1G which is good with mixer. looks good in pics http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... escription
  9. at samsonvale QLD but ships nationally will probably shoot up but could be a bargain http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT
  10. hey few things going off this w/e. about a year old CDJ 200's with boxes and all. has buy now, but given no bids and a day to go best wait it out. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT
  11. man theres plenty out there, i just cant afford them all! nor have enuff time to review them all. like tomy said you just have to digg. what i do these days is keep a list of tracks from people i follow, and as bove follow a trail and if i end up buying a track from a new artist, label, or remixer i follow them as well. my juno follow list is massive. then when i review tracks (which can be up to 20-50 at a time) i rank those that are okay, and even then maybe buy the top 5. and then do it all again on my next digging run. from iphone you can cehck beatport, juno isnt too crash hot on it, in fact as much as i love juno the actual site is such a dogg, hangs like a mofo. but it is good you can cue shyte loads of tracks in the juno player. then sometimes when i dont feel like going thru my list i just check songs that i added to my player in a previous sesh but didnt get around to listening too.
  12. reread cupes post lloyd, "its no longer in our range"! and as above posts, tsp is being discontinued.
  13. nice. ebay king!
  14. why do people leave the stickers on their fitteds? im a more curve the lip guy that or i wear kangols but i keep seeing people with the stickers on their fitteds. it looks stupid like you just bought it and forgot to take the label off. i know a lot of people hear are of the cap wearing fraternity so whats the deal
  15. the 500.v3 cartridges are fine. you are using traktor anyway so you dont actually need expensive carts. again thats more nice to have. at 699 you could get second hand st120 or st150 but if you cant be assed waiting on ebay or not wanting to risk it w 2nd handers which can sometimes have hidden problems, then yeah go for it.
  16. T80's have more torque than these though. T80's are up there with the Techies i think.
  17. still up there for anyone wanting to get a whole kit and kaboodle
  18. oh yeah forgot turntable lab also sends to oz. and i saw an ebay shop (though they have a brick n mortar in US) called ear candy (sorry didnt save link)
  19. tbh you can learn on any turntable and then adjust when you need to use a different set of tables. a lot of people who used only techs then moved to the super OEM high torques just found they needed to apply more pressure to stop a record (or so i read in reviews). but as above, as the T62's have even less torque than techs, any deck you next move to you will need to re-adjust. but hey i guess its all dependent on yer ability to adjust. whats yer budget? and are you not interested in 2nd hand?
  20. few things. what genres you want to do and whats yer budget. the issue w the pack is these are low torque machines (which affects ability to pick up the record from a stop). which is most important for scratching but also takes some getting use to if you ever have to hop on other tables. and it is noticeable. i own st150s and when i hop on my mates techies i need to give it a bit more of a push when i drop in the track. however having super high torque isnt necessarily a pre req as the industry standard tech 1200s have a much lower torque than other tt's and ppl both mix and scratch with them. these however have even less torque so i wouldnt recommend em. also w the price cut go traktor scratch pro. not that you need four decks, i only mix w 2, but with duo you only get an audio 4 which means to record you will need anotyer sound card or rely on your laptops onboard (which may suck). of course both above are thrown out the window if budget restricts.
  21. oh and when i said best venue dont mean it had the best nights. if i look back kate at sublime, is prob equal to Sounds on Sunday at greenwood drinking bevvies in th middle of the day. and fat @ gas on a thursday night. i could hit that shit from the first dj who usually played a more rappity rap set, till the wee hours of the morn when it would be totally jam packed.
  22. i liked that about it, as long as it was full. you know three different dance areas, lounges on level 1 & 2, and balcony on lvl 3. i went thru my phases of going heaps then skip it for almost a year, then get back into it. but plenty of nights upstairs rocking to kate, but i guess yeah the upstairs floor is the size of yer normal club. the superclub promoters trid to run their super rnb nights and then it definitely was way too big!. they filled it up enuff. lines were all the way down darling harbour, but the massive layout didnt suit the rnb meat market, cuz you find someone to grind and then if you lose em you aint ever gonna see em again
  23. nice one tubby.
  24. nah nah im all good to join. i was more getting at due to lack of experience i dont what other rules would be necessary. but yeah im keen as mustard! i think i found an iphone app that can sequence 8 tracks with about 4 effects. this comp is mine
  25. if you check my recent mix i had just that. for one i tried a cut and it sounded crap (transition 5). for the next one i just hot dropped it over an instrumental part of the outgoing song (transition 6), which sounded better except i was about half a beat off.
