  1. not to pour cold water on what everyone else is saying, and yes if its faulty then they must give oppurtunity to repair, replace or refund. but only if it is the S4 at fault. if it is your OS or compatibility issues then it is at their discretion. of course in the interest of customer service they would sort out something i.e store credit but they are not obliged. i.e. for example if they can get it working (and not necessarily working to how you imagine it to be) i think you got diddly squat of getting an outright refund.
  2. its purpose built to be like a club. shuffling to the left, and shagging to the right.
  3. serato and traktor probably are big enuff to have their own. and then have another one for digital (i.e. generic controllers, ableton for djing, pcdj, vdj and the likes)
  4. actually from 1.51 watch his hands he ads an extra drum hit. kills it.
  5. and dont worry he is handy with turnies too. well he is a UK DMC rep. this is freaking awesome. not a scratch set rather a live remix. and prob best i have seen. he beat juggles, scratches, while keeping the flow of a song. 2.08 just sends it home.
  6. JFB on some Denon S3700. nice set too good balance of technical and rhythm
  7. damn dogg that must of cost a packet! speaking of vinyl. small record fair at carlton hotel, melb this sunday for our southern bretheren
  8. havent done one of these in a bit (too busy looking for a cheap cruiser or dragster bicycle). anywho pretty cheap at $899 right now, will go for less than $1G this is the ad with that awesome review at the bottom http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT
  9. if yer doing anything outside of four to the floor dance, most bpmers suck shyte anyway. traktor bpming is a waste of time with hip hop and some breaks. i use my mixer or the iphone app bpm to tap it out myself.
  10. oh okay might not be the same one but there are equivalent rtas that do tha same shyte. cool. you ever use the plugins listed on dontcrack? hope they clean
  11. hmmm some of the ones that came with computer music are only vst's
  12. is there a low budget VST to RTAS wrapper or do i need to go w Fxpansions
  13. i tried pasting this conversation in babelfish and it couldnt convert to english.
  14. yeah man ive sold plenty on ebay and havent been ass raped much. usually furniture and electricals incl some big ticket items
  15. yep fark the crowd im an artist! i think its because its a home setup, so 90% of the time there aint people there. so you need the space to look its best (for those with lounge room setups) and/ or be efficient. at my place its wall facing but living in an apartment its pretty easy between jesus poses to see how everyone is going. and at my parties the dj provides the music and everyone else is sitting around drinking, eating, smoking, & playing xbox. pretty much not giving a shyte about the dj, except when wondering when their turn is up.
  16. i have a ttm57sl so i dont have a serato box. 4d+serato would be too pricey. where as the xone dx can connect straight to serato itch...am i right?
  17. nice one pulse.
  18. hey lloyd i think this a website help corner
  19. kyle what you are saying is possible and a very good idea, i.e. 2TT's controlling 2 decks, and the Xone 4D jogs controlling the other 2, and since it it is TSP certified you dont need an Audio 8 either (or so i think??). not too mention its fully mappable so you can hotkey pretty much much every function you will ever need. i.e. never touch the keyboard, just the TT's and the 4D EDIT: oh just realised you already have serato so dont care about the audio 8 thang
  20. did you go ebay yet. like we said to the other dude, 80% of members have kit. then everyone once and a while we have a new joiner, or a lurker who hop on saying they looking. but this is few and far between. of course on the other hand admittedly we prob have non-members browsing.
  21. hmmm i dont know, i dont think all radio/ podcast mixes are done that way. Fabric Live compilations are done from in the club Diplos short lived podcast were definitely done live the Roshambo guests on FBI radio always mix it live As is the Mixup guest on the J's In fact when people say a guest mixer is coming in im pretty sure its live right?
  22. hey jbeard ive kind of been teetering too on the production side. i kind of doubt my creativeness to output (i once tried graphic art because i can imagine heaps of cool things in my head, and im an awesome doodler then it turned out i could never convert what i see in my head onto the medium...doh). anywhos, yeah ive done a lot of youtubing though you have to sift thru a lot of "watch me watch me" with little explanation videos, and the assumed knowledge videos. reading a lot of manuals (just read the 114 page reason getting started manual even though i only have reason adapted which is reason but you can only have one of each device, so this just annoyed the shyte out of me). and also computer music. which ive been reading at the local borders and i ordered one issue online ($10 delivered as opposed to $25) and finally just smashing it out on your software at every step. so i would go in and try everything not really know what i was doing. then next time after reading a bit and you tubing a bit. go back in and have a bash. and just kept building on it. now i can confidentally create noise, i mean experimental music
  23. when you hear mixes on the radio, there all recorded on computer mate, not live so they can get everything perfect but gandy thats still recorded live, usually from the booth/record out of the mixer into a recording device (or soundcard). the non-beatmatching issues has nothing to do with how you record it right?
