There are statuses all over facebook about the tragic death of one of the faces of the Australian DJ and music industry, AJAX. Crazy talented guy, very influential on a lot of djs. Such a big loss. r.i.p.

Here is some footage, our set had finished by the time the geordie guys came on stage (about 1:15 in or something) but I stuck around to get some vision!

Just played a gig for the first night of O-Week here in Wagga. Charlotte and James from Geordie Shore were coming to our club as a guest appearance, I knew it would be a massive drawcard, and holy shit! The place was probably the most packed its ever been. Definitely the funnest and most hectic set we have played. We played from 9-12, all the uni students rocked up at about 10ish, we just played heaps of underground shit, dutch, heaps of our own tunes, and a few mainstream tracks. Everyone was going nuts the whole time, it was like a sauna tho, mental.

The people on these shows will be there purely for their ridiculous 'jersey shore' style personalities, not anything to do with their producing or dj abilities. They won't get any respect from anyone in the industry.

I remember grabbing this album at the end of 2011 I think it was, this song has always stood out. Very beautifully made. Pretty haunting.

Banger from John Dahlback, breakdowns sound similiar to Turn the Flame Higher but fuck, the drops are loose as.

Yeah its a very tough balance. I work full time as a news photographer so i work 40+ hours a week including all weekends, so finding time for productions and planning sets is tough. Doing gigs is tough too, as its a 2.5 hour drive to canberra for our big gigs and 4 hours to Sydney, so there are plenty of long hours at work followed up by travel, gig, no sleep, more travel and straight back to work. I guess having a passion for it helps as it honestly doesn't bother me having to do that.
