  1. welcome mate enjoy ya stay, dont be afraid to ask some stuff in beginners section
  2. his vinyl collection is epic
  3. i dont understand what the point is of having such tiny platters, what can you even do with them
  4. depends if the disc is a "dell restore/recovery disc" or just a normal OEM vista disc, if its the latter no worries also, and this should have no way shape or form affected this by formatting, but double check the bios boot order, and make sure your cd drive is before your hdd
  5. so...jealous...wow. BIG BIG fan been following them for over a decade now
  6. its looked down upon as amaturish/noobish.. The very first dj competition i went into, every respected dj i asked for advice on how to approach it they all said "get out there enjoy yaself, dont abuse the fx and whatever you do dont do a backspin" lol
  7. something you should never do
  8. backspinning into the next song... =_=
  9. i should of put 2 n 2 together theyre both from leeds!
  10. "utah saints djs are local mates of mine" ARE YOU FUCKIN SERIOUS???? I LOVE THEM
  11. sweet, all n all man looks like a great buy, if i were going down the controller route it would def be between the ddj and the ns6 again great review
  12. great review mate +rep, couple of things worry me about it after reading that: "Work pretty much the same way too except the main cue point is set by pausing the track and playing again, not by pausing and pressing cue like on the cdj1000s" yiiiikkkkeesss, i might be nitpicking here but that would be a pretty big factor for me if i was doing a ddj v ns6 pro/con. I have it that ingrained in my muscle memory to do it the pioneer way that it would take me quite some time to get used to the ns6 way. Then if i was going from ns6 controller to pioneer cdj it would disorientate and frustrate me "but no level indicators for each deck, you only get a level indicator for the master vol." hmm thats a little disappointing, do the other controllers have that? really liked the platter size comparison between the ddj and ns6, i watched the promo vid that has just been released on the storedj site (we dont get it till mid july) those platters look great for a controller
  13. omg that is aweomse LOL +rep

haha. Im a big big big person on prepartion, i guess i get that from my job where 90% of my job is planning, 10% execution, and i guess thats why i love making mix cds. So i spent a lot of time preparing and practising a set mix everyday before the event and had it down perfect. Problem was, it wasnt what the crowd was into and i panic'd and choked when i had to drop something that wasnt in my routine (when i shouldnt have and should have just relaxed and went with the flow) just gotta feel the music and enjoy ya self mate, learn as much as you can from your first couple of experiences
  18. hah that sounds like so much fun dim, be sure to write up a review of the ns6 too!
  19. i like cap5 too or caps, please no "DJ" i only have it on my fanpage so ppl know that the fanpage is about my music/djing

nice mate, good luck. My biggest downfall of my first comp was mis reading the crowd, technically i shit over the others but floor filling wise i was below par because i didnt play commercial/anthem/cheese
