as mentioned before, what u need to do is 'beatmatch' the tracks i highly recommend watching the ellaskins videos as others have recommended, particularily the one where he uses cars as an analogy for beatmatching basically what could've happened in your case: track a is playing at 128. track b is at 126 trak b is playing... u drop track a and notice that it is playing slower..... u bump up the tempo so it matches the 128 of track a, but what u may not realise is that even though track a and b are now at the same speed, track b is still lagging behind, which will cause it to sound 'out'... this is fixed by nudging the platter in the required to direction ellaskins video explains this in greater detail and more visually.. ill link it for you when i get home

Shile procrastinating from doing an assignment, i started watching youtube vids of people doing covers of EDM songs.. thought id post a couple up

im gonna agree with CapFive on this one, i recon it has the possibility to become mainstream. the crowd would LOVE to see a DJ actually turning shit and making shit happen... (might stop all those pre recorded mix DJs aswell ) the only thing im not sure i could jump onboard with is the platter.. when i beatmatch, i often use the side of the platter; i recon it would feel awkward to turn the platter like they have it shown.. i guess i would get used to it pretty quickly though ey

yea what everyone was saying before, you gotta have high energy last few house parties i did (were for mates) i was goin ape shit behind the decks (was also pretty plastered), pretty much dancing as hard as they were.. or sometimes i would make the transition, run into the crowd, dance with my mates and then run back and make the next transition.. they all seemed to love that crowd interaction is big, after the gigs i had people coming up to me and were like 'you did an awesome job, you really seem to get into it and enjoy it ey' if your not comfortable with that though, maintain some eye contact with the crowd, dont be that DJ that stares at the mixer all night and segregates themselves from the rest of the party i look forward to hearing how this party goes, sounds like itll be sweet
