Records to buy?

Hey guys I'm going to the record store sometime this week in search of hip hop vinyl.

I'm doing a competition at the lounge (on swanston st) sometime soon and have decided I'm going to be a sick WHALE and use vinyl rather than dragging my s4 and laptop along with me

What are some hip hop essentials so to speak that I should grab whilst I'm there

Think 80s-90s hip hop as far as my set is going to go

Also what's a good sample record I should keep an eye out for?

waay old school

2 live crew - We want some pussy

No Face - Hump Music

Rock Steady Crew - Hey You OR Up Rock

Rockmaster Scott & the Dynamic Three - The Roof Is On Fire

Kurtis Blow - These Are the Breaks

also at most hip hop events, only every other song is actually a rap track. what is usually played is very upbeat funk tracks like james Brown, stevie wonder and so on

EDIT: biz markie - just a friend

force mds - force mds meet the fat boys (i always called this gilligans rap. if you find this sell it to me!!!)
