Nailed it with these two. Mitch and I got stuck running a weekly which was fucked. Monthly for the win.

Running a night isn't easy. You need to have DJ's to book, a team of promoters, etc and be prepared to do the same shit week in, week out. I would suggest trying to get in with one of the current bars/clubs rather than going out on your own.

If you're DJ'ing out and playing to a crowd, then it's your job to keep them dancing. If playing tunes so underground they are produced by mole-men is more your thing, you would need to either find more suitable events to play, or adapt to the situation. Dancing people = great success. That's my 2 cents worth.
