About a month in. Both casings have failed. The screw mounts/holes are mad of cheap plastic and will crack. The light is fun, but for a small hall only. If you are considering getting 4 or more, your better off getting 2 proper moving heads.

Buying things is out of the question as I have less than no money at this point in time. I've managed to setup windows xp with virtual box. I got internet and the usb dmx to work. No shared folders yet, looks stable enough. Im gonna let it run for a couple of hours and see if it can be trusted. Now if only I could setup the Freestyler Iphone remote...

So heres my problem. I need a way to control some mini moving heads (4) and one led wash array. Nothing fancy, just move here, move there, everything stay the same colour. Now i've found a version of Freestyler somebody ported to mac, but I need to add the .dll's of my el cheapo chinese usb/dmx adaptop. Does anybody know of an solution, besides installing parallels/windows/drivers and using the Windows version. I need to be able to use osx Traktor at the same time. thx guys

It makes it very hard to up your price later on. Worst thing is you charge too much and they get somebody else....

I'm coming from the exact opposite. My first exposure to music entertainment was fading between songs without beatmatching while working for a mobile "djing" company. My first mixing experience was the synch feature in algoriddm djay. That was the first time I understood the point of mixing two songs without letting the energy drop. I didn't have a controller, just laptop. I think that synch has made mixing more accessible to people, but thats it. If anything, the best comparison is synch = wanking off. Instant gratification, but in the end, your just fucking yourself.

Make sure the speakers are pointing directly at the back wall or the sound will bounce straight back at you.

What source raver said. Also if your buying it from a business/new, then it will come with some sort of warranty. Weather or not their whales about it... $150 is pretty epic, I bought a red/green double laser from dj city for $200.
