  1. I've heard them at soundpond, and even sitting back on the couch 4m away they still sound great.
  2. not sure if srs? It's clear there sold?
  3. Aus post better get on there knee's if they want me to like them again
  4. il know next week, but should be good!
  5. Went into a local music store today and had a look a the monitors, Safe to say for the prices the krk's won hands down for me. DAT BASS DEPTH Going to get the 10's partly just cause, secondly so when I move out I can use em as speakers around the house in general. Also there's a small (pretty dam small) cocktail bar Im going to be playing at next year, PA speakers are too big, and everything else is too small. These will be perfect. But the major reason I want them is because they kick ass
  6. as far as I see it, your only option is the xdj-aero... it costs more, but covers all our bases. you can use rekordbox (just export playlist to USB) and you can plug into cdj2000/900 and everything will be there for you, you can also use your any ios or android device. it's a midi controller so you can still use traktor it's mixer section is pretty similar to any of the DJM series EDIT: i'm biased because I just bought one, and I love it. Pretty much this, or you could get my 800's and 400 mixer with roadcase for $1.1k + shipping
  7. as far as I see it, your only option is the xdj-aero... it costs more, but covers all our bases. Pretty much this, otherwise you can probably get a set of 350's and a 350 mixer from somewhere for $1000 if you shop around I have a set of 800's with a 400 mixer and roadcase going for 1.1k if you want to pay shipping you can use rekordbox (just export playlist to USB) and you can plug into cdj2000/900 and everything will be there for you, you can also use your any ios or android device. it's a midi controller so you can still use traktor it's mixer section is pretty similar to any of the DJM series EDIT: i'm biased because I just bought one, and I love it.
  8. just slightly off topic, but relating to this comment & traktor. i fully understand frustrations with traktor software's bugginess (but seriously no worse than apple's iphone ios' and itunes, in fact i even think apple is worse) but for anyone using it forget their customer service for troubleshooting. you are better off going on the NI forums. there are many user experts, who will get back to you quicker, and usually have more experience. failing that head on the DJTT forums (a lot of the same people live on both). They have recently stooped to the new low of not even supporting there own products (See audio 6 mac firmware)
  9. The only thing I can think of that would be half similar is that new pioneer thing the DDJSX but even then it's still abit of a jump. Specially with an s4, even the buttons feel different. Also the s4 is made to sync, beatmatching isn't really it's thing with the short pitch faders and jog wheel positions. There is no sync on cdj's (unless they have a full nexus setup which I highly doubt if they already have 2000's) so your going to have to learn to beatmatch manually, and it's going to be a totally different ball game beatmatching on the s4 to a cdj. I myself go between a ns6 and cdj 800's without much problem though, so perhaps give the ns6 a look? I really can't recommend traktor anymore after dealing with what is the most horrible user/customer support of all time.
  10. Well the funds are "In transit"
  11. Time to save for some rokit 10"s then
  12. Ahh ok Yeah I've been reading up on them abit more and they seem to favor towards EDM people. My main thing is though the quality of the unit, as a few people have reported them just randomly shitting themselves (Like street's)
  13. Just like to clarify, I've heard alot of mixed things about Rokits, some swear by them, some say there's better for the money, some say there pieces of shit. The two people on here I know that have them are gandy and street, I have never heard a problem with gandys, but street's died and he upgraded to a different brand. So what's the deal with them?
  14. Hey guy's, so I'm wondering what you actually need to start getting into production, and if you any recommendations for gear? Im guessing id need something like logic, fruity loops, albeton? but what is the deciding factor on daw's? Also guessing il need some kind of midi controller, an APC 40 looks good enough to control everything I will need? I would kind of like to be able to try possibly do a live set with launching clips, samples, loops ect... Kinda like Madeon, m4sonic ect.. as for monitors, will my hd-25's do for mastering and such? I can have a 12" audioline setup at ear level too to see what it will sound like on it as well. Or do I need monitors too? Am I missing anything else? Thanks Kris (Yes I realize I am getting abit ahead of myself, but as you have all probably guessed, I like to plan ahead, and it will give me alot of time to assess what I want)
