  7. It's not 97% accurate, but it is generally better than the others.
  8. yer the bottom one i posted is flosstradamus. and its with dubstep coz that's what cupe decided lul. but yer it shares quite a few elements from dubstep these days i guess (at least alot of the newer stuff that is coming out). could have also gone in hip hop section
  9. nice dude. mind if i move this to dubstep & trap section as its more trappy then electro?
  10. @Gremmis also the candyland link i posted has heaps of commercial style trap bootlegs
  11. Its not a new laptop, its used and supposedly being 'reconditioned'. What grays policy is on a reconditioned laptop is unknown to me. as for warranty you have 30 days after you buy it to transfer the computer from grays online's name into your own name (at this link: http://www.dell.com/support/retail/us/e ... tifySystem) and buy warranty on the machine. personally i wouldn't buy it, rather just go new and know nothing is being fucked with
  12. I didn't know you could analyse the key inside rekordbox. I've always used mik. But you can sort by key in rekordbox. You need to make sure rekordbox is writing the key to the key field. Then adjust the columns so you can see it easily and not over to the far right. Also enable key category on the USB stick if you end up using those so you can browse by key on your USB
  13. Some people like the stability of the OS, simplicity of use and range of applications relating to multimedia which makes it popular in this industry. However - thread isn't about why apple is better or windows is better. I use both and not biased either way. Your cheapest new mac will either be from a place like JB Hifi or the refurbished models on the apple site. your going to struggle for a new one under 1k though, they don't sell anywhere for less than the retail price very often. If your looking for a new windows laptop you'll score a deal at nearly any store these days as they are all hungry for sales. What software were you looking at using as that plays a part in what your looking for in a laptop (e.g. logic is only on macs, fruity loops is only on windows, ableton is on both).
  14. An easy spot to start out: Anything by candyland: http://soundcloud.com/candylanddjs heaps of free bootlegs and originals for free download

  23. Do you use rekordbox currently? If so, here is the manual: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Stati ... ns1111.pdf you want to enable the BPM category for each CDJ. do a search for categories in that pdf and it might help you. if not i can make a video up for you
  24. you can use rekordbox to organise your music for use on usb with pioneer cdj players. it has fairly good bpm detection. you can also adjust the beatgrids to make them correct if its wrong. then once you have the music on your usb you can sort by bpm on the cdj. so for example you choose 100bpm then it asks you for +/- x BPM. So you can choose 100BPM +/-5 then it would show all the tracks between 95 and 105. Other than that another part of it is just knowing your tracks well enough to have a good idea of what you should mix into the track you have playing. Hope this makes sense
  25. Ps if i want to find the bpm of a track i play it in my headphones and use the tap thing on the fx section of the mixer (this is on pioneers dunno what you have) to give me a rough idea of where the song is at
