  1. would expect no less from you nowadays. digged the moombahcore later in the mix more than the first half of le mix, but thats just my personal music taste. good stuff
  2. When I'm on the computer next I'll dig up a couple of ones that I watched when learning
  3. Apple have made it clear for many years that they have never intended to put a blu-ray drive in their machines
  4. good advice. beatmatching is good, just focus on that Eq'ing and phrasing
  5. Yes this is certainly still true. The CD drive in my macbook pro is faulty anyway (5 years of burning CDs with it has taken its toll), so i have an external for that rare occasion i do use it
  6. heavy
  7. THIS^
  8. It's evolution, CD's are dead. only time i use cd drives is to use boot disks (which are moving to usb anyway) and to burn audio cd's for Dj'ing. Which will all move to usb once the 1000s die out can't see a problem with it
  9. don't have time to watch all 4 hours worth, but watched a bit of it and seemed pretty cool
  10. smooooooooth. not my type of hip hop but clean transitions bro
  11. nice and chill at le start, heavier towards the end. smoooth
  12. nice writeup man
  13. yer man you needa copy them onto a folder on the comp like i just explained, then you can browse to them in traktor and add them all to a playlist if you wish
  14. (presuming you use windows) just go start -> music. Make a folder in there called "MusicTech CD Samples" (or whatever you want to call it really) Now open the CD, find the samples on the cd and copy them to the "MusicTech CD Samples" folder you just made. Now when you open traktor you should be able to browse to your music folder, then the musictech folder will be in there
  15. different to my normal taste, but i still enjoy listening to a bit of this
  16. Its all about practice man. the thread i posted goes over one way of beatmatching by ear. Ellaskins on youtube is another good one to have a look at, but at the end of the day all comes down to practice. When i was learning, i covered over the bpm and the pitch +/-% so i couldn't look at them, and learnt purely from listening through the headphones

  20. What you need to do is called beatmatching. It is one of the basic skills for DJing, and involves using your headphones to listen and adjust the songs until they match perfectly Watch the first 5 videos in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6974
