  12. You Answered your own question. Again. lol
  13. look on ebay ive seen a fair few going lately
  14. can you get a refurb on education discount?
  15. Djing your only using stereo sound so a 5.1 system is going to have no benefit at all over 2.1. In fact I think it sounds worse, and switch my 5.1 system to 2.1 when djing
  16. I put mine up last night, no issues here. I used the song by arty as my intro though
  17. Not sure what the go is with uni, but at high school you can claim up to $x amount per year on school expenses (e.g. books etc.) and laptop is classed as a school expense. You can claim up to half the price of the laptop i believe. If uni students aren't eligible for that, you can still use apple's discount educational pricing, they give you a nice discount off alot of their range if your enrolled at an eligible uni. Check with your accountant on what you can claim back. If you don't have an accountant, get one
  18. People are going to keep incorrectly trying to embed media for a little while, if you see someone do it, inform them of the new way to embed and everyone will learn quicker
  19. assuming 15th means i can upload tomorrow morning? can use schools internet then lol
  20. the cdjs are only analysing the song and applying an algorithm to get the beat count and apply the loop, which its possible for it to be the tiniest bit out which will affect your loop. And if your looping manually, human error + reaction time is more than likely to prevail and it will be a bit out. You don't win either way
  21. i read 32gb usbs are no where near as stable as alot of the smaller sized usbs. Might have been on here somewhere even. IMO Your better off: - getting a few different usbs and labelling them in some sort of order (e.g. A-F on usb 1, G-L on usb 2, etc) - using cds arranged in some order (e.g. 1 track + its remixes per cd or something along those lines. No more than 7-8 tracks per CD - 8 tracks has reasoning behind it, to do burning processes and scratching of the cds) - use a timecode setup. one of these methods your going to have more success finding music quickly, rather than having 2 usb drives and trying to read off a tiny screen all night
  22. Or maybe http://lmgtfy.com/?q=CDJ+1000 just so happens the first result may have the answers you are looking for lol
  23. I prefer the 15" pro myself, as you get a bigger screen, while still been fairly portable (compared to 17"). However 13" are lighter and more portable again, and still powerful enough to do what you would need. Personal preference really. Go to a shop, try both out, compare prices and see what suits you best. I'd definately go a pro model though.
